FluffyChix replied to ms.sss's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
yay!!! It's even more better with a sprinkle of cinnamon and the bananas and cream flavor with the coffee. I call that my CocomoJoe Iced Coffee. Just sip on it all the time if you have to! I drink it in 2 drinks about an hour apart at times. -

Ok, for all of you who THINK you hate Premier Protein or protein drinks! This is for you! I just made my homemade "GoGurt" using Lifeway Low Fat Plain Kefir (great pre-biotic for a healthy gut) and Premier Protein! So so so good! And it's a 5oz "shot" that's perfect for a pick-me-up! And has 9g of quality protein. So sosososososososo good! Any fruit flavored protein drink will work! -

Oh wow! And dang, I forgot with your back/spine issues, I bet strength training is tough--let alone running!!! Are you able to do PT and have you felt any relief from it? I know PT helped me soooo much! And double wow on being light enough for a small female to lift you! Do you think you are "actually" weaker physically or do you think that is more BD stuff expressing itself? (I can def relate to BD. so. many. issues. here. LOL. *snort*) -
Awww! Hon, I'm sorry for the struggle! I've literally been working on the last 20lbs longer than I worked on the first 60-70lbs. It's a process! Don't self-sabotage cuz then it just sets you back another week. Move forward through it! Why not shake things up and start doing IF? We have a huge thread on it here. Come join us!!

Yes, I think they are a by-product of early ketosis where your brain is getting major fuel from alpha-hydroxybutyrate and (ketones) and it's sayin...DUDE! Where you been all my life and how YOU doin? And then you settle down as you adjust to being in a fat burning state. -

FluffyChix replied to ms.sss's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
KISS is just "keep it simple sweetie (or stupid)" lol. And you know that means pretty much what @ms.sss is so awesome at! Oh many use your pb2 in a couple different ways. (I have the Vitacost version which is less sweet tasting to me.) 1. Smoothie: bananas and cream protein (powder or liquid), 1oz blueberries frozen, 1-2 oz baby spinach (optional), pb2, ice, cashew milk unsweetened - any sweetener you want or need. Blend the crap outta it until it's kinda just baby poo greenish and WELL blended! 2. Yogurt/Cottage Cheese "Soup": 57g Greek plain yogurt, 57g Good Culture Cottage Cheese (or more), 2oz of bananas and cream PP or strawberries and cream PP or peaches and cream PP, 12g PB2, stir it all up. Top with 1oz frozen blueberries and 1/2oz of almonds or walnuts. 3. Chia Pudding. Take the above recipe and add 1 tbsp chia seeds and chillax in fridge for about an hour or so to gel up. So so good! -

Sleeve To Bypass after only 10 weeks. Surgery Date 9/5/2019
FluffyChix replied to ThreeOhThree's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Aw man! ((hugs)) I'm so sorry to hear this, but so glad that God worked in mysterious ways to find it early!! Follow in faith. Do what the doc advises and now this time you know the ropes and can take measures to make recovery easier! I bet you won't have to do the pre-op liquid diet again? And you can get through the liquid post op phase quickly. Mine only lasted 2 weeks! Gosh sayin prayers!!! -

So the question is...do you know if your insurance uses your FIRST weigh in from your doc? Or do they use the FINAL weigh in after your pre-op liquid diet? -

WTG! See? To me that's the awesomeness of IF and OMAD. Like our anatomy, it's a tool you use when you use it properly. I think being pro-active and planning for heavier meal days is what naturally thin people do? They just do automatically. Maybe it's just your body hanging on to water from the empty fat cells and that you will have a "whoosh" in a couple of days and lose it? How many cals are you eating? Do you know your macros? And gimme some food porn. Tell me of your OM meal tonight? -
Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
FluffyChix replied to FluffyChix's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Hi guys! So I had my 18month surgiversary this morning and things were great -- until my surgeon sat forward a little and told me that she needed to talk to me about a bone density test and asked if I was being followed. I asked why and she said, "It looks like you've lost more weight..." And she had a concerned expression on her face. I told her I was within 1lb of where I was at our last office visit but that I hoped I'd replaced some of the fat with muscle. And her expression was "concerned." I told her that I was eating...and so we discussed that she REALLY is not in favor of me losing any more--that as many of you guys have said (and studies show) that there isn't any advantage to losing more weight from where I am. I reminded her again of my Goal #3 (only 4lbs away...yes, I have the first dollar in the LOST jar people) and she said that 5lbs wouldn't make or break me, but that I needed to give up on the BDG goal, cuz she didn't think it would be healthy for me. And I asked her if she thought I looked gaunt or unhealthy and she just paused and looked at me with a regretful face and slightly shook her head. Like she didn't want to say anything to hurt my feelings. But like, "Bi*ch, you're looking old and worn out!" And man. It's totally messin' with my mind. Cuz I don't want to stop at 134lbs. I want to stop at 130lbs. And I just don't see how or where I'm looking gaunt? Dilemmas in Weight Loss Land! First time evs a doc has had "the weight talk" with me and it was about being too thin. I thought that was one of life's myths? That you can never be too thin or too rich? And what about the 10-15lb rebound that I'm terrified of succumbing to in year 3? *big gulp* (Oh and I'm getting a DEXA body analyser scan for my birthday next month.) -
@CNDC Wow! Love the look! Congrats on Onederland!!!! Man! I want y'all to be my personal shoppers!

Wanting to eat everything before surgery. Help!
FluffyChix replied to Dee2938's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Talk to your doc and RD. See if they can help you with things. Maybe look at asking to have a bariatric counselor on your team. I will tell you that any work you do NOW before surgery, to wean off of the C.R.A.P. will help you with recovery and minimizes how hard the recovery phase could potentially be. My recovery was nearly non-existent--a cake walk, so easy peasy with very very tiny issues so that they were non-issues in the big scheme of things. Because I was able to get off the caffeine, sugar, chips/crap/snacks and really focused on eating clean and nutritious food. My doc told me that it's not that I would NEVER eat those foods again, it's just that rather, I wouldn't plan to eat them again and yet they will still "happen" in our lives/and in our meals. You plan for success, and to stay on your optimal food, and know that part of life is being human and eating that slice of pizza, or burger and fries now and then. There isn't one thing I can't eat now, that I ate pre-op. The difference is thanks to the surgery and to the success of weight loss and knowing HOW FUC*ING AMAZING SKINNY FEELS, I just end up dileberating and choosing to eat "on plan" foods probably 90-98% of the time. Cuz I don't want to feel the bloat and weighted down carb coma that comes with eating pizza or Mexican food or Chinese... It's hard to conceive that a change like that is possible. So don't beat yourself up...but try to clean up your pre-op habits now if you can. The more you do now, the easier it will be in the pre-op liquid phase and after surgery.
