  2. Too many carbs for me. I love my Premier shakes, but I do confess that I never drink them straight. In coffees and teas they are just perfect amounts of sweetness without having 4 or 5 added carbs on top what they already have. Glad you found something you like!

    Feeling Weak past 2 Months

Also, it depends on what their definition of normal is. You can still be symptomatic but within normal limits of your labs. Some cases of that are: low ferritin and low iron/hemoglobin, low Vitamin D3, low B vitamins (these are the energy vitamins) so a low B1 and low B6 are very normal. And they can still be in normal limits and you'll feel like doo-doo. Also thyroid is notorious for causing symptoms while being within normal limits. A normal TSH is at or around a 1. And normal FREE T3 and FREE T4 are at around 3/4 in the upper normal range. If they fall below that, then it's low and you will likely feel it. Sorry you are going through this. I would also encourage upping the fat, dropping the carbs, and making sure you are getting plenty of quality proteins. Even organ meat proteins like heart and liver! Also CoQ10 can help with energy. Congrats with your losses!!! Outstanding maintenance!
  4. Nope but it looks good! I don't do sardines in oil--too many cals/too much fat in a meal for me. So I stick to my sardines in spring water at 150cals per can. You can go to My Fitness Pal and plug the entire meal in and save it as a meal. Put in the title how many servings it gives you. Then you can select the meal next time and put the fraction that you eat. For instance: 4 Servings = .25 meal 3 Servings = .33 meal 2 Servings = .5 meal 1 Serving = 1 meal

So what are you unable to eat now?

Yes. For me it's a "too many carbohydrates" in a meal. But it can also be "too many fats" in a meal.
  6. Good to know in a pinch!! But you could also just get iced decaff black coffee there and pour in your own Premier Protein shake that you carry with you!
  7. Thanks!! I will look at Vitacost and see what they have in MK-7 100mcg! I get confused by the MK-4 and MK-7 stuff!!!

    Stomach cramping

Yep. Norms. And varying the temp is so important! I still have better results sipping room temp water and warm liquids than I do cold. I can tolerate cold now, but it does make me feel "jammed up."
  9. Yep. Go back to liquids or mushies for a couple of days until it passes. It's swollen and inflamed most likely.
  10. Catwoman, would you mind sharing which type of K2 and dosage please? I have been wanting to add this in so that I'm more assured the calcium is going to my bones rather than my heart and arteries! But I just know so little about it.
  11. My understanding is that there is never an "end" when we won't need vitamins post op. I'm 18months out from RNY. I take: 2 Celebrate Multi-Capsules 6 Celebrate Calcium Citrate (1500mg) 500mg B12 50mg B-Complex (low B6 and B1) 35mg Bifera Iron (HIP & PIC) every other day 2000mg D3 400mg Magcitrate 17g Clearlax 10g Psyllium husks 250mg Colace 40mg Omeprazole

5 years out and trying to reset

Use My Fitness Pal and after you populate it, it's so easy! Also, order a food scale that reads in grams. Then weigh and measure everything going into your body! And don't eat packaged stuff! LOL. Eat lean protein and eat veggies and some healthy fats. Eat a serving of dark berries now and then. Order protein powder on Amazon, or see if Premier Protein shakes are available in Europe. Beyond that--stay away from C.R.A.P.

So what are you unable to eat now?

I can't eat boiled okra. That's about it. Everything else is wide open and A-OK! (Oh wait! Snap! I couldn't eat it BEFORE surgery either--my whole life even--makes me hurl every time! )

    day 6 post op

So sorry you are experiencing that! Wish I could help. I never had any of that and in fact kept asking if they really did anything inside. Walk walk walk and sip sip sip. Vary the temperature of your liquids to see if that helps. I will tell you, that fluid is a must or you will end up in the ER very quickly. So work on it. Ice chips, flavored waters, whatevs but it's pretty non-negotiable.

    Any gout sufferers out there?

Yeah. But then I think it gets better.
  17. Ok, so you had the same amount of EVOO as this time? Then it could be the tuna. Sorry.
  18. How much mayo or salad dressing did you eat with it? I usually tested food 2 or 3 times. If it caused it, I'd go back a stage for a couple days. Then reintroduce the food all by itself. I'd eat known "OK" foods the rest of that day. Then if it causes it again, it's likely the tuna. You can try different brands, different processors, etc...

    Protein

Here's a sample for you that is appropriate for week two. It is about 1/4cup of food per meal. You might not be able to finish your tuna lunch, but you could come back in an hour or so and be able to finish it -- in the early days. Also, don't know if your doc allows you to drink milk. My doc wants us to drink 1-2 glasses of milk per day as part of our plan to get calcium and protein in, but I rarely do it--cuz I don't really like it. You can jazz up yogurt with water drops in different fruit flavors. I like doing plain low fat Greek, cuz then I know exactly how much yogurt I'm getting relative to the additives that they put in it. Also 3oz of swai (pangasius) is a light fish. It is a raw measurement and it shrinks a ton. So this should give you 1/4c of cooked fish (about 1 1/2-2oz cooked). And at first, you will basically only be eating protein and some meat lube (low cal, low carb, low sugar) sauces at each meal.

    exo cricket protein review

I love you, but your bar sounds like a date with dumping. "dates, honey, mesquite flour" are all so high in fructose so liver bomb. Cricket flour though poses a really neat option for bariatric patients. It has more iron per gram than any other protein source. I would think it would be pretty bioavailable too. It's just very difficult to wrap my head around eating crickets...*chirp*

    Favorite Scent of Poo Pourri!

I think we could say that @FluffySaysForkIt! might even be craptastically crafty. Am I right @Deedee12?

    Water in protein

I'd just make them up and add extra water or liquid--For non-fruit flavors I added Fat Free Fairlife Milk to up the protein or even more or decaff coffee. And for tea and fruit flavors I used either water or decaf tea.
