Post op Fatty liver question, no help from doctors
FluffyChix replied to HopefullXOXOXO's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
((hugs)) What advice are your doctors giving you? Have you seen a liver specialist? What stage is your fatty liver? -
I hope you feel better soon hon! PS you gave it to me. Sux.

I know realistically it's just fluid (or most of it is), but it's such a mindfu*k! Right?

Thanksgiving plate pictures
FluffyChix replied to Brent701's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Here is my Thanksgiving over a 3 hour period. No leftoverskis. (That's a salad plate it's served on and there is 3oz of turkey + 1/8c smashed cauli + 1/3c brussels sprouts + 1/8c low carb cranberry chutney + 1oz avocado + 1oz tomatoes) No afters. I did take 3 hours to eat and drink this. Here's what it was: Dinner: avo/tom salad + smashed roasted cauliflower with pan gravy + pan roasted turkey cutlets with crispy herbs + no sugar added cranberry chutney + roasted brussels sprouts in toasted garlic After Dinner Cocktail: low carb manhattan with orange bitters Dessert: sugar free cheesecake millionaires with sf cherry preserves and whipped cream with decaf coffee (not shown). I've no idea how many calories. I didn't measure the ingredients to make my portion. <<<Drivin' the bus to hell... -

Ok, this was last night's dinner. I did the turkey cutlets in fresh herbs and ghee with a butter-finished pan sauce. I also came up with an lc manhattan and made sf cheesecake portions with sf cherry preserves. Was delish. But not sure it was worth the 2lbs up...

Ok, girls, I can relate! @Healthy_life2 & @catwoman7 I'm 133.8lbs this morning. Gah! True story. At 4:30am I was 135.6lbs. Cranked myself out, took some cold medicine and went back to sleep. Woke up pooped. Got nekkid. Weighed. Weighed 135lbs. Super cranked out. Drank some water. Did a forced walk for 1 hour. Was contemplating how BADLY I did NOT want to go back into WLM. But 135lbs is the TOP of my window and is totally unacceptable. So I knew that was my future today and this week. Sigh. Then went and pooped AGAIN! LOL. Weighed. And I'm now 133.8lbs. True Story. I an now in the middle of my window rather than the top (using musician's math to round down rather than up. LOL). But I will still be in WLM cuz dayum. I'm already cranky. So why not? But I will tell you @ms.sss, the relief I feel at being 133.8lbs rather than 135lbs is tangible! And cray. Mostly cray. I know as everyone already said, it's mostly water and it will come back off with a day or two of healthy eating. But it's ridiculous how easy it is to get to the top of your weight window without even trying!!! Gah! OK, rant over.

I got the rolls (hamburger buns). I thought the taste was pretty good, but very dense. However, super convenient and filling! And I didn't have a weight jump or an RH event which leads me to believe they are safe for me in maintenance! Have fun on the road with PBJs!!! Sublandia...ha! -
Pre-op diet. One week in and feel terrible. Struggling.
FluffyChix replied to fashionista2000's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sucks big time. Make sure to have a cup or two of bouillon (full sodium). Also you can try adding a pinch of himalayan sea salt to your water. You might need electrolytes? Call your doc and tell em. -
Lower BMIs tend to lose a little slower, but you end up at the same place around 18 months. It's a journey relax and enjoy it. Easy to say, hard to do. I only lost on average .2-.3lbs per day. Now I'm 132lbs this morning--down from 287lbs as my most recent high.

I'm betting your friend's doctor is Dr. Matthew Weiner in Arizona? If so, his plan is a sound one. In the early days there are shakes, but as his patients heal they follow the Pound per Day plan of his. It's veggies, nuts, seeds, legumes and small amounts of protein.

Yep. Exactly. It's an unknown variable in my life. So that's why I intend to be very vigilant and not have the laissez faire (for me) attitude of meh...I'll be happy at 150lbs. Nope. I will be VERY unhappy at 136lbs. I will be happy between 130-135lbs. And I will face 3 years from now or 5 or 10 when I get there and see what reality brings. I may have to renegotiate. But I'm certainly NOT gonna plan for failure (for me). I'm going to plan on strict compliance. Cuz trust me. Failure happens. You don't have to plan for that catastrophe. Failure happens. You don't plan failure. You deal with the aftermath of failure.

135lbs. That's the max I'm willing to entertain. But it's early days. Right? So what is the choice if it's not reality at 3+ years?

what does ur doc and RD support?

It might be ER time. Can you keep liquids down? Do you feel hot like you're running a fever?

Ok, I give you Fun With Fluff! I made frozen Fluff Clouds. For 2 of them...only 34calories. They taste like a frozen type of ice cream sandwich cookie. -
@ms.sss Ahhh-mazing treats. Fun with Fluff is what I call these. ha! Ok, so I took the protein fluff I made yesterday and put it in 10g "clouds" then froze them. Then topped each with 3g sf Hershey's Chocolate Syrup and 1g of slivered almonds. The texture is very similar to some weird frozen ice cream sandwich. They are very filling and here's the best news. For 2 of them--plenty for a snack...it's more calorie and protein magic! Each mound is 10g of protein fluff + 3g SFHS + 1g almonds Total for 2 Fluff Clouds: 34 calories; 3g of protein; 1g fat; 2g carbs; 1g fiber; 1g net carbs

I'm currently defending a 130-135lb range (Goal #3). My absolute max I"m willing to accept at this point is 135lbs. So far, it's easy-ish. But it's early early days and I know I can gain VERY easily. All it takes is a couple of meals. I would ultimate love it if I could one day see a healthy BDG goal of 125. Then I know I would defend the 125-130lb range like a rabid wolf. LOL. And of course, who am I kidding? I'd then wish I could drop to 123 so I could defend the mystical 120-125lb range (that's the mystical world of unicorns, fairies, magic, and poo pourri where farts and poo smell like citrus and bergamot). Will never seeing BDG weight wig me out? Nah. Not so much. I'm pretty happy with life right her. Would seeing 136 wig me out? Yeah. More than a little.

Can attest that tamales for Christmas has been going on since I was a tiny girl. I'm 57. I'm willing to bet it's been tradition long before that. -
This is a call to your doc hon. Your tummy shouldn't be hard at this point and I would think the pain should be reducing. It kinda sounds like you need a good poo. But then, that's my answer to everything. Call the doc... also I didn't have a binder.

Yeah, I think though, that he has some status there having a MILF. My nephews and niece were always secretly pleased with how young and hip and beautiful/gorgeous/do-able my sissy is and was as they were growing up. I'm pretty sure they took some sh*t from it with comments and looks. LOL.
