Speaking of...I guess I better post mine from yesterday. LOL. Yesterday December 11, 2019 Maintenance Mode: 57y; F; 5'4", 22mo PO RNY, 132lbs, 4/3 calorie macro cycling (this is one of 4 lean days/wk)+IF 16/8- B1-Protien lattes x 5 (PP 5oz) L-Plain Grk Yogurt + Cottage Cheese + Blueberries + Raspberries AS-Big Ass Ginormous Salad with HSF ham + WF Italian Dressing (ate this in 2 sittings) D-Caprese stack + salad + shrimp (ate this over 3 hours) BS-Longhorn cheddar smeared with French's Yellow Mustard + Cayenne with a Walnut Back. LOL. *snort* Daily Totals: 915 calories; 75g protein; 47g fat; 51g carbs; 13g fiber; 38g net carbs Big Ass Salad: Salad Totals: 166 cals; 8g protein; 9g fat; 14g carbs; 4g fiber; 10g net carbs. (I wasn't concerned about not having 1 g of protein for every 10 calories in this meal cuz I was already gonna be plenty high in the protein department from all the other meals during the day.) And I see I forgot arugula! BBIAF. Corrected!

The biggest emotional rollercoaster with this surgery
FluffyChix replied to Soon2bSleeved12/2019's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good lord, what a rollercoaster and mentally draining!!! ((hugs)) I truly think the time leading up to the actual approval process was THE most gruelling time of all! The ups and downs. Sheesh!! But what your PCP and clinic head did was pretty rank IMHO. I had docs who definitely have opinions and biases against WLS, but they aren't allowed to speak out without being invited and they all ultimately said it had to be my decision. But none of them gave me a lot of hope (except the bariatric surgeon and RD), that permanent weight loss was possible even with the surgery. Sorry you had to experience that and that it added to your emotional load!!! Congrats on being approved!!!! Come here often and do your work and you will be successful!!!! (Oh and btw? Not for one single moment have I regretted taking this action to reclaim my life. Not once.) -
Oh man! I totally forgot about that and so sorry for being insensitive. Lemme esplain, ok? NOT because of your dress! Has zerah to do with it. It has everything to do with how vibrant and happy you look and that your skin has ZERO wrinkles and looks fresh, bright and dewy. Everything that says "Hey this woman is young and has a healthy life/diet and hormones." So sorry to make you fret! ((hugs))

I guess I'm thinking "Daily Menus for Maintenance" is very self-explanatory?
-
No. But some people have issues with nuts and nutbutters close out from surgery. Other's don't. I personally couldn't handle the full fat kind until probably about 1 year out. Same thing with large volume of nuts/seeds. I still really have to keep it to 1/2-3/4oz of nuts/seeds to be super comfy. It would sit in my pouch like led and make me feel very nauseated. I think it's cuz of the fat content? But I had no issues using the Vitacost Peanut Butter Slim Peanut Butter Powder reconstituted or used in smoothies etc. Not nearly as good for sure, but it wouldn't stick around and make me feel like pukin'!

Wow! IDNKT!!! Thanks for the info. I hate their blend's taste...but sorry you are upchuckin'! No fun! Hey you might try BP's new coffee. I think Alex just got in a new low acid organic coffee. I want to try it. Cuz you know...I love low acid.

IKR?!!! She also looks about 18.

Of course you can. I'm trying to help direct you since you're new here and may not have a full gist of the site and all the forums. I want you to have THE MOST answers to your questions! (And your questions are not pursuant to Maintenance Menus, they're kinda all over the place.) But you are in a particular thread that is devoted to MENUS FOR MAINTENANCE. And despite our thread being active, it's only active with a handful of people. And the Bariatric Pal sight has 1000s of posters on the main forums where you can ask your questions or respond and engage in different topics. I was trying to point you to areas where you can freely ask all sorts of questions and get way more information that we might be able to give.

Can I take Xenical before surgery?
FluffyChix replied to Ninja-slash-nerd's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OP is talking about cheating on her plan and taking Xenical to try to mitigate damage. And she's worried that the loose stools will cause a problem during surgery. And I think yeah, it's an issue and she needs to tell the surgeon. -
Can you do it on your desktop? I think it's easiest to do it that way. Then you can see that there are also so many areas where you can post and get better response. This is the thread for people who have lost all their weight and are maintaining. We are all usually pretty far out from where newbies and sophomores are. So you will get better support and more response from your peers in other areas!!

Love this whole look! You look AHMAYZING!!! Love the hat!!
-
My doc says that often, it's only a brief window of intolerance and that it can go away the further you are out from surgery?

I love unsweetened cashew milk, too!

No To Low Cooking Ideas for Real Foods (Stage 4) Post Op
FluffyChix posted a topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
It occurs to me that not all of us are foodies, born with an innate desire to cook and try new recipes! Many of us got to the morbidly obese ball by eating fast food from drive thrus, or delivery meals. Still others shop in the frozen pre-made food isle and love Stouffer's Mac n Cheese and Stouffer's Lasagna, and Banquet Fried Chicken entrees! Many of us, have very limited ability (especially in the early days of weight loss) to stand up while preparing food. And, then too--many of us are on either fixed incomes or have very limited money for food--even though we might have been guilty pre-surgery of buying tons of craptastic food from the grocery store. So shew! Long-winded! Let's use this thread to link to and discuss different options in our stores where we can get healthy pre-cooked meals or meals that are prepared and only need to go into the oven for 20 or so minutes! The cool thing about it is, even in the early days, many of us will get 2-3 servings from a single meal! So we will still be saving $$$$ over the drive through and copious volumes of quick fix crap food! PLEASE for God's sake!!! Read the previous entries!! We don't want a billion posts about rotisserie chicken! One will suffice! Let's try NOT to duplicate! When possible, link to specific items from your favorite grocery, so people can see what it is your linking to!!! OK go!!! -
