    I WANT FOOD!!!

Ok, so here's some "pizza soup" on the fly for you. I think you'll get a couple of servings. 8oz chicken broth or bone broth 1oz pepperoni dried italian seasoning 1/4-1/2c lowest cal/carb marinara sauce 2 tbsp parmesan, grated dried italian seasoning 1 scoop unflavored protein powder Simmer the pepperoni in the chicken broth and marinara for 10 minutes. While soup simmers, mix protein powder with a small amount of warm water until it forms a paste. Set aside. Strain broth to remove all pepperoni. Add parmesan cheese and whisk hot liquid into the protein powder slurry. And there you have it...pizza soup. Pour about 4oz of the soup into a cup. Use a spoon and eat slowly. You can do this!

    cure for skin/fat roll irritation?

LOL, document the crap outta it. Take pics. Send them to your doc. Tell them hoooooooowwwww miserable you are. Then repeat as often as possible so that there's documentation down the line for skin removal surgery. Hope you feel better soon!
  5. Ha! LOVED the post! Thanks for the tips girl! Congrats on a successful adventure--now your new life awaits.

    Funny☺

I often saunter into a room and stand with my back arched like that and look over at Mr. F with a come-hither look and ask if he can tell that I've lost a couple more pounds. *snort* Of course, then he says, "Wait, is this a trick?" (cuz he can smell land traps a mile away)

    Honest opinions on Syntrax Nectar?

Here ya go! Bariatric Pal sells the individual serving sizes for you to buy and try. Here's the link: https://store.bariatricpal.com/products/syntrax-nectar-protein-powder-trial-sizes-17-flavors-to-choose-from?nosto=other-nosto-2 Also, you can go to Syntrax and purchase a sample of 17 different ones. But honestly? Some were HORRIBLE and I found the chocolatey and dessert ones just too sweet. I do like the ones I listed out of the 17 though. I think they coffee or mocha one was good too. I made iced coffee with it and diluted it, but prefer premier protein for my iced coffees now.
  11. See? This is what I'm tawkin' 'bout! LOL. Now I will probably wait 5 months for them to say yes, and another 5 years to get scheduled with my surgeon. LOL.

    Day two postop

    Yay!!!! Great report!!!
  13. Just go do it and bring home lots of leftovers! And don't let him make you sit on the floor at his feet. You'll have a blast!
  14. I have mine next week. She told me that she would send the paperwork to the doc's office the very same day. It will take the doc's office a day, or 5, to get all the stuff together and send it into insurance. Then you wait. And wait. And wait. And if you're like everyone else in the world except me, they'll get back to you in 2 weeks and you'll probably have surgery the next day. *snort* Now if you're me...you'll wait 2-4 weeks to hear back from insurance. Then you'll get a call to start your 2 week liquid diet (if you're approved). If not, then you have to get with your doc/insurance company and figure out the appeal approach. Congrats on your weight loss success!!!!
  15. I'd just order 1 dinner and share bites of his. He can feed you like in 9 1/2 weeks. How's that for romance? hehehe

Am I going to freeze ?

Yes. We will both freeze. We will both die in our chairs, shriveled, wrinkly, protein-prune-pops! I have a hoodie huge robe in grey fleece. Mr. F. calls me Yoda cuz I always wear it over my clothes, zipped, and the hood up. It's a lot like a monk's cowl.

    I messed up

Cheetos and cheese balls/cheezeits and gold fish are my nemesis. I would eat them preferentially over anything in my house and in fact, they do comprise a 5th food group. I'd have to dump em and pee on em to keep me out of them. I'm sure the dish soap wouldn't be a strong enough deterrent! LOL! You can DO this! Concentrate on getting that water in and your protein in!! ((hugs))
  20. Thanks hon. It's still in the works. My last RD is next week and then they submit. Then it's in the god's of insurance' hands. *sick feeling of dread* ((hugs)) Thank you for being understanding and forgiving!!!

    I messed up

Go throw them in the trash and pour liquid dish soap on them. I'm not joking. You're 6 days post op...
  22. Oh I wasn't talking bout calories. I was talking about looking at the ounces of food on the plate and envisioning the volume total for the entire meal: 3oz chicken breast 1/4-1/2oz cheese 2oz beans 1/2oz hummus 1oz picante 1/2oz bagel (or more) 5 1/4-5 1/2oz of food total on the plate. Of course, that could be a cocktail plate. But then I went back and read my RD book and I wrote a note down that at 6-7 weeks I would be eating about 1/2cup (maybe 3/4-1 cup) of food by volume, or about 4-6oz of food. So what's on your plate is very close to what my book says. So maybe it just looks like a lot from here and I should take a steamin' cup of STFU, cuz I'm still a normie. It's all good sweetie! Sorry for saying anything!
