Congrats!! Be proud!!! I remember this threshold. It felt awesome!!! ((hugs)) -
Great googley moogley. Your menus sound delish!! I'm in WLM at the top of my window. I honestly don't know how it happened. I made sugar free protein jello (and ate a crap ton of it leftover from a party with my support group), and that's really the only thing "bad". I had 1/2 a peach glaze (sugar) chicken leg and a large tortellini at the party. Sooo, dunno. Must be out of ketosis is all I can think of. Not too concerned but eating my clean M-Th diet. Maintenance 57, 5'4", F, 22mo PO RNY, 135.0lbs Monday, Dec. 16, 2019 B-Earl Grey Decaf Tea + Black Coffee + cayenne + ground cinnamon x 4 B2-Sugar Free Mocha Protein Frappacino (25g prot) L-Big Ass Greek Salad w/Tuna Pouch (ate in 2 meals) (14g cabbage, 18g org. power greens, 14g arugula, 30g iceberg, 14g grape tomatoes, 18g rbp, 10g red on, 22g radish, 30g cucs, 35g avocado, 3 black olives, 10g red fat feta, 6g pumpkin seeds, 1tsp evoo, 3 zeros Greek dressing, 1 2.6oz pouch Starkist Lemon Pepper Tuna in water. (I told you it was big ass...ate it at lunch and afternoon snack.) XMAS DINNER IDEA'S to help those early post op
FluffyChix replied to New&Improved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Great plan! I'd throw a can of cream of chicken or cream of mushroom into it to make it a little more "luxe" feeling. And then stir in a spoon of plain Greek yogurt at the end. Sounds delish! -
discomfort and pain 15 months later
FluffyChix replied to lessismore1001's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
For me it was a worst case scenario. At around the same time PO, I had that kind of discomfort/pain and it ended up being in internal hernia that opened up and my gut had come through it and twisted so I had a partial obstruction. Hope they figure it out quickly! -
Almost 2 years post op - Starting to gain little bits at a time

You can't make that assumption. You can say some of us are in calorie deficit at 1200 or below... hehe -
Honestly? I'd rather eat straight sugar or starch. They are very high glycemic, very low in fiber, occupy real estate that at this point in your recovery should be dedicated to protein. In maintenance? If they're your jam. Go for it if it fits in your daily balance. At your stage I focused on protein, al dente veg, and tiny bit of healthy fats. I reached 1st goal at about Month 9 or something like that? Lemme go look in my footer. Now when I want something crunchy, I either make some low carb version or I eat a GG Brancrisp or a Wasa with Fiber.

According to Dr. Jason Fung, in order to be in "starvation mode" you have to have lost ALL fat stores beyond that percentage we're never supposed to lose. -

Sorry to hear of your struggles! How frustrating! What are your symptoms of dumping? I also have dumping but mine are when I eat too many carbs in a meal and are also related to too much fat in a meal. What's your current weight? Do you log your food? Maybe you could give us a couple days examples of food and we might spot something for you? How many grams of protein do you get a day and from what sources? I second the idea of checking in with your surgeon to r/o any medical issues and also talking to your RD to see if she can help formulate a game plan? ((hugs)) -

Picking a goal weight...Psychiatrist worried
FluffyChix replied to Briswife15's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Congrats on hitting goal!!! I'm your height 5'4" and I live between 130-135lbs. Today after a really big weekend, I'm at 135.4lbs (the top of my window), so it's back to eating for WLM which is my usual M-Th routine anyway. So I feel like 135 will look good on you! Can't wait to hear what your bariatric team says. ((hugs)) How do YOU feel about your weight loss. Do you feel "on top" of things or do you feel shakey like you're "teetering" on the verge of something? -
3 miscarriages since WLS - help!
FluffyChix replied to Charthesleeve's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'm so sorry for your losses!! ((hugs)) I'd talk to your surgeon about this as well as your OB/Gyn. It could be so so so many things, and maybe not at all related to surgery. I hope they figure things out soon! -

Have you tried it peeled and the English kind wrapped in celophane? It's the "burpless" kind with few seeds? You can maybe try it again in a month or so!! ((hugs)) Cucs are a staple for me! I use them to replace crackers! -

Sorry you didn't like the ACV. It's an acquired taste I guess! LOL. I like it cuz it's "supposed" to help your gut biome. Dunno bout that, but I do it and feel pretty good! I did try your cayenne in the coffee! It's delish and does have an appetite killing effect on me as well! I like adding it with ground cinnamon (to lower insulin). And it's the bomb dot com adding an ounce of chocolate premier protein! Kinda like Mexican hot chocolate! Thanks for doing the R&D on it and coming up with some cool ideas!!! Will have to try the Earl Grey with the coffee!

Just want to say congrats for catching it at 15lbs and for recommitting to health! Congrats on losing 120lbs. That's phenomenal and no small feat!!! Make sure you give yourself credit for that dedication and effort! For me, I find it very easy to gain and my maintenance is a lot like a teetertotter. It goes up easily but it does come back down with my normal Forever Diet for WLS (weight loss success). So I look at maintaining a pretty tight 5 lb window. Tracking is critical in my honest opinion. As is daily weighing (when I'm needing extra accountability) and measuring monthly or weekly. Or taking pics. Whatever you need to actually SEE the losses! I also have to walk daily for 30-60 minutes and drink my 100+oz of liquids each day (64oz of that is plain water) and take my vitamins. Hang with us and we can help keep you focused on success. -
BBL to comment!!! ((hugs)) @sillykitty No FOMO! Keep your eye on the prize and what you're giving up now is just priming you for cardio (with the lights on)!!!! You're welcome.
