6 month anniversary I think I need help
FluffyChix replied to MiltonP's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Honestly, get a DEXA body analysis. I think you have a tiny bit more to lose. But I do think that doing something like P90 or some guy program to build fitness, strength and gain muscle will serve you very well. How many cals are you eating each day? You look fantastic btw!!! Congrats on your major accomplishment and hard work!!! Remember, those who love you are used to seeing you fat and see you through different filters than strangers. And we don't see ourselves accurately (most don't). Also in the next year, your body will re-apportion itself so any gaunt looks will be resolved then. -
Yep. That's my bet. More HGH, more testosterone and androgen production/release/conversion. Yippity dippity doo!

I had a great food day yesterday. Note to self: let your criminis dry out in the fridge for a while. They become a VERY dense protein like substance and fill my pouch up! Ha! It is one of the few meals I couldn't finish even though I' eat the equivalent of about 2eggs + veggies all the time. I actually have an "AFTER" photo for you! Had a hankerin for my "quicky" faux egg foo young and so I did it and used Sriracha, sesame seeds, and WF Asian dressing (a SERIOUS compromise) LOL, but it was tasty none-the-less. My macros were more than expected, but not crazy. And well-within the JUDDDD format: 1045cals; 74g protein; 58g fat; 36g carbs; 9g fiber (low); 29g net carbs; 5g sug Here were the food photos: B2 - Veggie Egg Foo Young L-Sardine Nicoise Salad (so dang good!) D-Chicken + On-sale Ribeye with Broccoli and Avo/Tom Salad -

Well that is one of the advantages of having RNY, is the shortened time it takes to move food through the areas of digestion/absorption. It has been one of the theories of why people lose more weight with RNY on average. But I think they are re-thinking that position in later research? @Green Tealael I'm so sorry you have to deal with that issue. If I were you I'd get a consult from the doc. My sis has that issue--has had it all her life. I too think it's like SIBO. It really is tough on her and I feel so bad for her. I hope you can find answers! You should totally keep a food diary with effects added to it. That way you can pinpoint when and how it happens. I guess you've tried using/taking probiotics etc? -
How Long Post-op Until You Were Able to Eat Carbs & Fried Foods Again?
FluffyChix replied to Littel_Urchin's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I can totally understand that one! That would be a deal-breaker! I didn't choose RNY on the basis of it causing dumping. I actually almost didn't choose it cuz of that--I am terrible at hurling. It is just a bad situation for me. But I feared GERD and having to do it all over again worse than the dumping. -
bahahahahaaha! OMG. I will use it forever! Thah crahps ah sayuved! TY AshAsh and sillykitty!

I think so. She said I would have issues with sweets and fats. I'm too skeered to try to have something on with sweets, cuz the fat stuff sucks so bad! or depending on how you look at it. LOL. -

I'm 6 months out and can eat every dry, dense protein on the face of the planet without issue. LOL. But dammit Janet! Rocky. Ughhhh! Let me have 4 little chips with some queso and I'm ready to hurl my toes up! It's pretty much a YMMV. My cravings have pretty much changed for the most part. But if I eat something/anything too carby, I end up not feeling so well and anything deep fried makes me wish I could die. About 4-5 weeks most can/will start experimenting whether they "should" or not. LOL. -
Help me please... What's SMH? Signed sincerely, One Upper In Houston

From your mouth to God's ears. We are not identical machines. We all have different levels of broken-ness. For the past 3 months, I've been trying to up my calories from my present 550-800 cals per day. If I eat at the 750-800 cal level long enough (ie about 3-5 days). I will gain weight. I'm not talking glycogen/water stores either. LOL. It's ridiculous! So for me to lose, I have to work like a demon to make sure my diet is clean. And it's also complicated by the fact that I can eat a pretty normal qty of food now... So you see? We're all so unique! -

Watch the second one. I'm about to watch a third on why women should fast differently. I'll get back to you. And I hear ya. I'm not a morning eater either. But by late afternoon...hungry AF! LOL. I guess that means my body has some "issues" lol. I'm like, "Ya think?" *snort* And not so surprisingly, I can fall asleep easily, but I'm easily woken and once I wake up--good luck to me to get back to sleep. Also pain wakes me and then that's it for sleep! Ok, here's the third one. And it talks about the need for women to not fast every day. That there is a need for us to do an alternate day style of fast. LOL. *snort*. So I think I will just continue with the ADF stuff, but maybe not have the non-fasting days so structured. Which is actually what Dr. Johnson's original plan wants you to do--but as usual, I have to take it to extremes. ROFLMAO!!! -

Ok, I stumbled upon this newer research on IF and eating windows. You just have to get past the guy with the "auto-voice" and listen, cuz it's very interesting! Maybe I should dump the alternate day gyrations and just do what most of you are doing with an eating window? It would certainly be easier. Right now after breakfast, I'm dreading the quantity of food I still have looming ahead of me to meet my goals. *gulp* What are y'alls thoughts on this? -

LOL. I know I'm gonna have a smokin' hot bod--with tons of sad, droopy, melted candle skin cuz no money in the inn for plastics. And I will be bald-- and forced into a Jacquelyn Smith wig from Paula Young Wigs. And I will just slowly gather all the extra skin into a top knot on top of my head, secure it with a rubber band. And put on my happy wavy wig. Guess it will still be a fair trade. LOL. -

Then I felt something tickle on my arm and I freak out. Freak out. Seriously. I thought it was a bug. LOL. Turns out, it was just about 3 strands of scraggly-ass old peeps hair just rando falling out all around me. *snort* I. Am. So. Bald. Seriously.
