    Meal prep

I'm a meal prep pro but do things differently. I make "bases" so that I can mix and match like food garanimals. So it tastes fresh and exciting at dinner. I purposely keep breakfast and lunch no brainers. And if I need snacks, I have a list and supplies of allowable snacks. That way I know I'm good going into dinner and can be a bit more flex if I want or need to be. I plan the day in the morning while walking and after walking I try to enter into MFP, while having coffee. Sometimes I deviate, from the plan but when I do, I know exactly what macros/cals are available to sub out. It keeps me most days hitting my goals/targets. I'm not 100% but I shoot for that and gratefully accept being 80-90% compliant. I do meal prep some basics on which ever nights I "cook." LOL. I cook 2-3 nites per week, then use the bases for "lucky leftovers" remixed.

Yep. Great observation! In the early days I had a similar response to fruit. Any fruit sugar (even though it's fructose and doesn't spike bg - only insulin) caused it. And the only way I fought it was to eat a protein like you did, drink water and power through it. I think this is the beauty of the surgery if we really listen to our bodies. Cuz we will have cues that will tell us, "Hey dummeh, put that down. That's not your's anymore." LOL. I made a list. While they may not be "triggers" for me, they were just beyond my metabolic flexibility capabilities. Way to stick the landing though!

    So completely confused

The no water rule only applies to solids hon. As long as you're on clear and pure liquids (even yogurt), you don't have to follow the 30/30 rule. If you experience issues with yogurt when you add it, thin it out with Fairlife fat free milk or some unsweetened almond or cashew milk. Sorry for your struggles but so glad they caught the infection. Be very careful to observe any new or increasing redness, pain, nausea, discomfort. Fluid is king right now. Do EVERYTHING you must do to get your fluid in. I think we all need 4oz of fluids per hour minimum? So at first it is constant sips of liquid! or ice chips, popsicles, whatever you have to do to get fluids. Also if they gave you a spirometer it is SO important to use it like instructed. You have to mobilize the fluid in your lungs and expectorate it. Holding a pillow over your tum is a lifesaver!!! Feel better soon. Walk as often as you can. Even if it's only for a minute. Laying still is your enemy!!!

I'm not a proponent of a Mediteranean Diet by the way (mainly cuz I can't spell it). Nor am I a fatophobe. Just for the record. LOL.

    Health issues after surgery

What does your surgeon say about the hemangioma? We all have these by the way. They are called incidentalomas (accidental findings). I have hemangiomas all over my body: liver, back, spine, etc...I don't believe they are supposed to cause pain? Don't know what the risk of them is. 4x3cm sounds alarming though. 2.54cm=1in. I think your pain if from gb? But dunno. The liver thing would be big enough for you to feel it. I have a liver cyst that I feel when it flares up. Why waiting 1 mo? I think if it gets worse, go to ER and keep doing it till they take it out earlier... ((hugs))

But there is more to it than CICO. And there are legit slow losers who aren't secretly stuffing Little Debbie Ho Hos down their piehole. All of weight loss is based on metabolic cascades and interwoven feedback loops that are fueled and powered by things like enzymes, receptor sites, hormones, pro-hormones, etc, if any of them are blocked or limited through disease, imbalance, hormonal disregulation, nutrient disregulation, medications, health conditions, et al...then the natural progression will slow down... It's so complex. Even the professionals are constantly evolving their nutritional position.

Gosh! I adore this outfit. So feminine and sexy. LOVE the shoes! Love the statement necklace too and b-on-b!! LOL on Hank Hill butt! I need those too! Mine is granny pancake flat, but there is still fluffiness in the flat drapey lobes and you can pick em up and shake em out--like Flubber. LOL. All the way from my thighs to my hips. So when I put a pair of tight pants on everything just lifts as I pull up the pants. ROFLMAO!!! Hilarious fun.

What are your sources? Cuz there is a doctor in Newcastle who did a study on diabetics where he reduced their diets to 800 and had them eat a more Mediterranean protocol. It effectively reversed the diabetes in many of them. The key was calorie restriction, but it was also important to have a lower protein from more fish rather than red meats or a western diet mix. So much lower in fat with different fat composition. The diet has a seriously low calorie density (high fiber, low fat, lots of veggies, fruits, legumes) and seriously high nutrient density. I am aware that in the absence of carbs, protein requires calories to metabolize for energy. I guess my prob with what you're saying is that all carbs are created equal and that all calories are created equal and that just isn't the case. The amount of processing, the glycemic index and the glycemic load all play into how badly our bodies are effected by them. The degree to which we are metabolically broken is also important. I do believe we must all have a caloric restriction/macro restriction to lose--especially if we are MO...

    Please Help

Seriously dehydration will make you feel all of these things and will make getting protein in even harder. You have got to do anything to get the fluid in. Drink warm bouillon for sodium. Drink G2 gatorade or diluted juice with water. Do whatever you must do to get the fluids in you. Sorry you are experiencing this scary time.
  19. Gosh it sounds like they are just baiting you. Which is just crappy. Limit your exposure to them. And if it's your hubs and children doing it? It's OK to set boundaries of will and won't happen in your house. If need be, cut them off until you are stronger. And also, maybe look into counseling...((hugs))

I know right? I so wanted the pearls. *sniff Funny, these are Old Navy size 6 jeggings and I think they are too big. But I don't know if a 4 would go up over my sharpei hips/bottom. Seriously it's like an anaconda is swallowing me to get them up over my bum. Then they are too big in the legs and waist. LOL!

Lap Band Slipped... Not sure what to do next

I'm sorry for your troubles! I'd talk to your bari team for sure and get their recs. @elcee is totes right! If it were me, I'd also do the band to bypass route as quickly as possible. Gaunt face happens. It comes with rapid weight loss. But after a year it kinda evens out and you no longer look drawn. Try not to listen to people's opinions and just do what you KNOW must be done. Now for this...the quote. This raises a HUGE red flag to me. Why? cuz it tells me you are emotionally really tied to your food. I'd sure suggest a bariatric counselor so you can work through the headwork this time through. I get wanting a revision just so you can have food without feeling crap after and vomiting. Perfectly natural!!! ((hugs)). But this isn't magic bean surgery. It isn't everything in tiny portions cuz you WILL end up having more room in your tool and you will also learn to eat around it. In my opinion there are very few people who are successful in keeping it off long term without changing their head. I know of some people here who are successful at that, but they HAVE still changed some of the things that they do...
