Yes. Don't go there. You can't change the past, but living well is the best revenge on everyone. You can alter and have altered your future--for keeps!!!! Congrats on flowers and full disclosure going well! Cudos! Glad I told you to do it! haha

  5. So excited for you!!! You will be so happy!
  6. On the way to med ctr love being a passenger. Lol! Can't wait to hear! I'm doing my main green 1oz, green2-1/2oz, green3-1/2oz plus other veg 1/2oz each. Maybe about another couple of ounces total. I just quit putting it in a measuring cup now I know by weight what I eat--cuz it looks like so much it makes me depressed I eat that much. But in my defense the chew down to about 1/2 the original volume.
  7. Hey how big (by volume) of leafy greens do you and can you eat in your salads?
  8. Oh yeah! I second the satisfaction of seeing the scale move after a 1lb poop!
  9. His stress is up...cortisol...insulin...ugh.
  10. Dang! I'm so sorry! ((hugs)) Scales, can't live with 'em. Can't shoot 'em!!! You've got the right attitude. Hang in there!!!! Just keep swimming. I swear you will see a whoosh!! Also pound the water! And are you drinking green tea? I had to stop mine when my tum stuff started and I'm pretty stalled out right now and I swear the Green Tea was totally helping rev up my metabolism...but maybe it was just the IF! How long are you IFing each day?
  11. Yesterday went great! No issues with the 24hour fast. Broke my fast with an 11oz chocolate premier that I pounded down between two cups of coffee and a drop of peppermint extract. YUMMY! Fu*k you Starbucks. We broke up. It's not you, it's me. LOL. Tastes like Christmas--now I can watch my Hallmark Holiday Movies as God intended me to...with a hot cup of peppermint mocha coffee. Then had a taco salad an hour later. Went to bed with a full belleh. Meh. Have my UGI and U/S today starting around 11am. I'm cheating this morning cuz I desperately needed just 1 cup of black decaff. I'm supposed to be nothing by mouth...but I'm betting it and my bottle of water will be long gone by 11am. Gonna be a long day. My tests are in one building and my doc appt is this afternoon 2.5miles away on another campus. Depending on weather, I'm contemplating using the time between the last test and my PCP to walk there. It's not a beautiful walk...it's the Houston Med Center, but it should be safe enough to do. Supposed to be chilly this today, but it may rain. So I may end up taking the bus or a shuttle if they have one. Gotta do recon. I've not done 2.5mi at one go before. Will be another 24hour fasting day. Am already hungry for blackened sockeye on the George Foreman Grill! Will have asparagus and my lovely avo/tom salad.

Yes mam. I had 85oz pure water (Ozarka Spring Water) + 40oz decaff black coffee yesterday (water decaffeinated).

And don't forget, green tea and Matcha burn fat too! And they count as water don't they if they?
  14. I found that using the Premiers in coffee or even tea (both hot and cold) worked great for me. It made them thinner, and really cut the sweetness. I could get them down a lot faster. And now here's Mama...*shakes finger at you*. "Now you know darn good and well, it's up to YOU to make good choices. And the best choice you can make right now is to eat by the clock, not your appetite." If it's 8am, it's time for a protein drink. Same thing at around 11am, then again 2pm, then replay at 5pm, then one more at 8pm, and if you need to...do one at 10pm before bed. 5 x 4oz = 20oz of protein; 6 x 4oz = 24oz protein drink (EVEN BETTAH!!!). Just dooooooo eeeeettttt! Seriously...Bananas and Cream mixed with decaff over ice? IMPOSSIBLY delicious!!!! I call it Banana Joe from CocoMo!!! So dang good!

I haven't. And your messages are turned off and you can't accept comments. Can you post the link in your comments on your timeline/wall?
  21. Not paranoia, again, empirical data via experience with you both. Gotta get back to work now.

No offense, but I don't know you. You are so new here...I don't even know your posts and I only friend a few people on MFP. Thanks!
  23. Hahahaha! Trust you and our Creek to use strawman arguments and personal insults to argue a point rather than debate the substantive portion of this debate. And no, this guy's opinion is based on his expertise in his field to evaluate the nature of the studies upon which "conclusions" are being conjectured or alleged. The studies are based on published works by other scientists. And yes, we are back to square one...I will resist sharing the advice my grandmother gave me growing up. Boiler Plate Disclaimer: BTW! NOT that I am pushing my woe or trying to recruit! Just offering anecdotal commentary!!! I fully support your individual woe regardless of what it is...as long as it's something you can sustain for a lifetime! And even if it isn't, as long as you can do it to get you to the finish, then have an excellent exit strategy to a lifelong plan, yeeehaw!!! CUDOS!!! I'll be your cheerleader and your huckleberry! Sincerely, Fluffy Chix Cook 🦄 🤓
  24. But you are STILL missing the point. In a thoughtfully constructed low carb or keto diet, protein consumption IS NEVER HIGH! It is only PROTEIN SUFFICIENT and that varies on your individual LBM, level of activity, age, gender and several other factors. And that number changes as you lose weight or if any of those variables change! My oncologist, a world-renown hematologist/biochemist who is one of the most well-documented researchers on hormone positive breast cancer, was on board with my low carb and IF approach during chemo/radiation/surgeries and now. I eat the same protein I always ate that is adequate only for my needs. It's about 60-74g of protein per day. Closer to 60g of protein per day as of right now. That's about 2 eggs, a pouch of tuna mixed with some 2% cottage cheese, and 3oz of grilled chicken per day. LOL. Nowhere would that constitute a "protein glut" or "gobs of protein" or be anything out of the ordinary in any form of diet! About 2-3oz of protein cooked per meal! That's it. Boom, you're done! LOL.
