  1. Ugh yes!!! I have to make sense of this woman's resume and craft a dynamic version of it. It needs to conform to a certain style and tone that her peers are using and ughhhh. I can't be tagged for inadvertent plagiarism, so can't really copy. And "in my own words" is just not coming to me. Her draft is soooooooo bad, so verbose, so dry as old bones, it's like trying to spin and do a complete rewrite of how the facts are presented. I got nothin' left. I'm spent. LOL.
  2. Drink a cup of bouillon (with sodium full strength) and hydrate. Also take a tsp of MOM (milk of magnesia for 425mg of magnesium per day). According to the low carb docs this is the prescription for getting past the "keto flu" or carb withdrawal and headaches that happen when getting off of sugar-burning and onto fat-burning. As bad as it sucks, it's far better to feel craptastic now, than to experience this withdrawal and transition AFTER surgery. Dear God, the humanity in doing it the other way. Hang in there.
  3. Well just stick around and post and show who you are and what you're made of here. Everything comes out in the wash given time.
  4. OMG guys. I seriously can't make myself concentrate and work this week! I've procrastinated on a project that is due first thing in the morning. I do NOT want to nut up and do it. Ugggh! It taxes my spirit and soul to do this kind of creative writing. Someone give me a ginormous shame-filled spanking and tell me to adult. I don't want to adult. I want to retire. LOL--like that's happening in my lifetime. LOL.
  5. Yeah, well if that's what this is all about, @Matt Z beat you to it a few 1000 page views ago. It's a hilarious and terrifying read. Happy reading...
  6. Eel was a joke. It's brought in at 5.5months per @GreenTealael's timeline. LOL. *snort*

    1 day post op

Congrats! Is the drain filling up quickly still? If so and you're exceedingly drowsy, you might mention that to the nurse and just ask if she'd take your blood pressure. ((hugs)) and Take care of yourself!!

    I’m soooooo hungry!

Liquid diet is seriously evil. Don't give in or give up!!! You can do this. you're on the downhill slide now! It's all worth it in the end. Swearsies! Welcome to the boards!
  11. I seriously you. Just when I "think" to know what to expect you pop up on a thread and crack me the heck up!!! Jazz Hands!
  12. OMG! Yes!!!! Now when I go for my check-ups, not a single doc comments to me about, "You know, this would get xyz better if you'd only lose weight and get to normal weight!" Next week is one of my 6month check-ups with my oncologist and I am 12lbs below his goal for me and still going down (if I have my way). It's the first time I look forward to seeing him in 7 1/2 years!
  13. ^^^^^Wow! This! 1000 times this!!! ^^^^^ Thank you for sharing!
  14. Color me this, too. I don't even have a sweet tooth, but if contraband that is irresistible is in the house (salty/crunchy), there is no willpower in the world to keep me from rationalizing my "need" to consume it. And like you guys, I'm def not a saint, so when I stray I make sure to do it out of the home and when we get home it's right back to TCB (takin' care of business) and knuckling back to the primary game plan. It's the only way I can function.
  15. Don't jinx it! Shhh! That's wonderful news!! And GORGEOUS weight on your ticker btw! Congrats girlie!!!
  16. You're right! hehe Hugs (or Jazz Hands)
  17. Yay! Let's switch! I'll go to Italy next month for you. You can make dinner for himself and watch a HMCM in jammies! Deal?

  20. Awwwwww! TY! Like you though, I don't actually see or feel that. It feels embarrassing to get a compliment. It's like I feel like I will always be the girl with the "great personality" who gets put into the friend zone. me=dork But in my secret garden heart, I want to be smokin' hot and Miss Behavin' with him all the time and I want people to look at us and think...what on earth is she up to now? I bet he never gets bored! (haha--of course in reality, last night we had salad and watched a Hallmark Christmas movie in jammies) LOL.

    No Pain Medications

Yeah I had very very minimal pain, but I told her, that I didn't want to deal with pain. And so she made sure I had what I needed. Apparently the combo of Tramadol and Tylenol is supposed to be synergistic and "almost" as good as morphine without the risks of things like hydrocodone? Dunno. But worked. Easy peasy surgery and recovery.
  22. Oh snap! That's forkin brilliant girl!!! I was thinking of just adding the carton egg whites, but if I use real eggs and separate them then whip them to stiff peaks and fold in the pb powder...hold me. I might "win" the weekend with them and be a rockstar for him!
