    Food Before and After Photos

I can only imagine. In some ways it must feel like you've received a "get out of jail free" card? Cuz it has been so bad for you--for so so long. Right? And plus the whole Fatsgiving Christmas holiday calendar can't make it very easy either!!! I do think you just have to feel your way along onward through the fog. And for each of us it's different. But I can say 1/2glass of liquid with a meal makes a significant difference in the satiety of my meal...don't ask how I know this. hehe!!! And yeah the only thing I have found that makes me sick is too high fat in the meal. I have now tried sf candy and even a bite of dessert. No problemo. *sob*
  2. No. I can't beat that. I'm thinking maybe no one can! But maybe cuz it's cause you said "proctor" in connection to gurgly gas sounds? bahahahaha 🤣
  3. These are often in my Walgreens or CVS. Or you can order from Amazon. Just pour them into bottles of water and shake them--flat flavored water.

So this is exactly like I feel with my RNY. I'm thinking that as you progress out a couple of months you will begin to feel greater restriction. You may never feel restriction from pasta, rice, quinoa, etc + all cracker/chip/shenanigans. You will likely feel restriction on solid/dense/dry-sauce free meats, seafood, etc. And al dente veg will probably also fill you up as well. I also think though, that part of drinking while eating (because it's necessary for your esophagus stuff) is gonna pose an extra challenge for you. It means you will be able to eat more cuz it's pushing stuff through your pouch and stoma by making a slurry in your pouch. So you will just have to have a game plan to keep to really super low/healthy stuff most of the time since you will likely be able to eat more. Or you could try to back off of the drinking by tiny amounts and see how it goes? Congrats on being close to goal girl!!

Absolute petrified to step foot inside

Can't wait to hear what everyone says, but congrats to you! That is amazing and inspirational! Soooooo...um, any time I feel embarased and "less than" when I go to a particular place filled with healthy peeps, I imagine all of them sitting on the throne going poopy with their pants on the ground. It's a great equalizer. Pretty impossible to be intimidated by someone who completely takes their pants, socks, and shoes off to poo. Good luck! Go do eeeettt!

Sophomoreville - A Home For The the Tweeners

Dayum! Stalls suck monkey junk! And being hungrier...sux worse! It's the extra Zumba of course. Pound down that water whenever you have a weak hunger moment! And fill up on protein!! My rule is if a hard boiled egg sounds good, then eat it! You're hungry!

Yeah. It was just a quick snap for my sis. I'll try to get better pics this weekend if I have time. Although by then it might be back on top of my head again.
  8. Sorry. It's called carb flu. Better to have it now than after surgery. Stay the course. Do drink the bouillon cubes cuz it adds really good sodium that may help you feel better. We were allowed 2 bouillons or broths with sodium.

    HELP!!! Stomach Pain

Yeah. Sorry to hear this. If you have not had a SERIOUSLY huge poopy, that "may" be the case and you are right at about that time when this hits. Mine hit at 3 weeks. Went to ER for projectile vomiting cramps, and nausea that just suddenly hit. They imaged everything and told me I was full of sh*t! And to go home and poop my brains out. So I got glycerine suppositories and MOM and had a field day--total party! You. Would. Not. Believe. The. Amount. Of. Poooooooo!!! The humanity!!!

I posted this in IF, but am cross-posting here cuz I'm an attention seeking ho with narcissistic tendencies. hahahahaaha This was my $15 haircut and color (demi-permanent), and I tipped $15--so $30 for everything. Sweet! I feel a little younger/better?

Yay!!! Good to see you guys here! Congrats on being so close to goal and for hitting 75%!!! That's outstanding sweet lady!!! Talk away!
  12. Ok, bad pic from last night. Sorry about the bags...Christmas gift giving stuff in my messy office. Bad light. Bad angles, etc. LOL.
  13. Wooohoooooo!!! Cardio! Cardio! Cardio! Cardio! Cardio wins the night again!
  14. Really good! And I'm gonna go to Sally or Ulta today to look for Toppik colored hair fiber. It's only a dem-color, so not total grey coverage, but it's a good start to give me an idea of it. In a month, I hope to go back with my game-plan: a hair topper, or only using Toppik. Then we will do permanent color with low lights and high lights. I will try to take a pic this weekend. Wore it down for date night last night. First time in MONTHS! Mr. F. said he loved it and that it didn't look thin. I used some of their hair fibers but the color wasn't perfectly good. I would highly recommend beauty academies!!! Wooohooo!

Shakes and the Rule of 30

Shakes are fluid. No need to do 30/30 with them--only with solids. Try diluting your shake with decaff coffee or decaf tea, or water, or even things like flavored water.
  16. I was just like you. Hydrate like hell! ((hugs)) and hang i there!

    Weight Stall Venting

Stalls suck green balls. At any time. But most especially the dreaded "3 week stall" that happens any time within weeks 2-6. LOL. I wanted to sacrifice small animals. Cuz I was eating like 4-500 cals and thinking, this is BS!!!! LOL. But I swear it will break. Stay the course. Drink your water, maybe even add in decaf green tea. Walk. Walk. Walk!!!

    AMAW/CAMAW - Let's do this thang!

Oh here was a shot of lunch on Day 5! I love doing this. I warm up a homemade sausage patty, pour egg white over it and nuke. Then cook a whole egg in another ramekin. Then when they are done, I put a 1/2 slice of 2% Deli Deluxe cheese in the middle of the two egg pucks. It's a bunless egg mcmuffin using the egg pucks as the "bread".

    AMAW/CAMAW - Let's do this thang!

AMAW/CAMAW DAY 6 Begins Today!!!!! Woooohooooooo! Don't Cheat! Eat Meat! If you started on Sunday, this is the official 6th day of hell! HUZZZZAHHHH! How are you doing? Are you getting "right with the Lord and taking your eating back to basics and clean livin'? I had a slight hiccup last night. Nights continue to be an issue for me. I do well during the day, but at night I want my veggies still. Here are my personal goals for today. It's important for you to do you!!!

    AMAW/CAMAW - Let's do this thang!

Yay congrats!!!! Yesterday was shambolic for me. I did do a 22/2 IF, but had a bowl of chicken noodle soup for dinner and ughhhh. Blew the day. Then was so protein deficient had to come home and pound down some coffee + premier and had almonds and a square of chocolate. Gah! But, trying to get back on the wagon today. I am down to 149.6lbs. Yay!!!! So am hoping by test time next week, I might be down a couple of more into VWT!!!! Woot! YEAH BABEEEEEEYYYYYYY! Here's how my horrendous day shook out! Calories 731 (not bad) Protein 58g (low) Fat 34g (good) Carbs 51g (shambolic) Fiber 7g (but too bad I can't net for this AMAW/CAMAW thing) So I'm really lucky that I'm the same weight this morning. *sigh* I'll take it as a win with a narrow margin!

    Surgery date dilemma

Well, you will be on liquid diet on Christmas Eve which would be equally unappealing to me. I'd go for Dec. 21 and go to your service and do the stuff for and with your fam, and deal with post op liquid diet rather than pre-op liquid diet horror! LOL. And you gotta just go in with a "super trooper" attitude determined to hydrate like a beast and walk walk walk so that you heal with minimal discomfort. And don't give in to feeling like crap and full of pain from the surgery. I think a lot of how we do post op is our attitude going in and our willingness to be a beast post-op with the things we HAVE to do to heal well and easily.
  22. Fasted 22/2 yesterday. Was so busy and out all day. Did NOT get all my fluids in for the day and was super late finishing up vitamins. Gah! Got my hair cut/styled/and demi-colored. (Shhhhh, it was at the local beauty academy. She did a great job all for $30! *laughing at the bargain*) Today I'm gonna try to do a 16/8 but I'm starving! So dunno if I will make it or how long I will last. Trying to pound water and coffee now. I am convinced that Green Tea is helping me lose. On the days when I drink a pot of it, I will usually lose, even though I may eat more/higher cals. On the days I don't...nada. So my rule of today is a pot of decaf, a pot of green tea + water out the ying-yangly! Tonight is German Christmas Market (start) in our little town and I hope the rain holds off long enough to go. It looks so festive! Will try to take some pics! Oh, and I'm almost back to my pre-Fatsgiving ticker weight! Wooohoooo! 149.6lbs today and yesterday!
  23. I think this is a good thing to do. I think you're just in the final stages of WL mode. Where you're body is still trying to figure out where it wants to be? And I DO think the IF is helping all of us! Even if we don't have regular scale movement. And I always see between 1.5-2lbs diff between home nekkidy weight and morning dr. appointment scale weight. I wear the thinnest, lightest clothes possible (usually a thin-ass spaghetti strap shirt with super thin/cheap Old Navy leggings, then get Shoeless Joe on it, and weigh. Oh and I won't drink or eat anything from when I wake up to when I weigh in at the doc's. *snick* And I get your same kind of result variance. My fasting insulin went from 18 last year to 12 at mid-year and now that I'm IF, it was 2!!!! Which is "low norm" but perfect for what we're doing! So I'm in remission from the hyperinsulinemia! Woot! I'm betting you are too?! And I think you're body gets comfortable that you're not starving it, and it drops a bit of weight a little at a time! ((hugs)) And I'd keep your scale but try not to move it and if you do, just slide it a few inches, don't pick it up!
  24. Ha on Dance Party and Cardio!!!! Woooottt!!! And never discount the power of a very satisfying poo! I love to see that 1lb variance pre/post poopy. Sometimes I laugh to myself out loud about it. What do you weight today?
