Yay you! Congrats on a great year!!! We need to see B/A's and to read your 1 year write-up. 🍾 -
I got nothing on this. I'm just so glad to be past that! ((hugs)) I think we become more insulin resistant at this time, and also our hunger hormones kick it up cuz of more insulin floating around? I found that keeping very strict keto during this time seriously used to help me with the hunger. But yeah...hungry hungry heifer days for sure! *sob* Maybe you could look at adding things like chromium picolinate and cinnamon to your foods and see if that helps you? Also adding a couple tsp of unfiltered apple cider vinegar to water, some fermented veggies and more protein/fat?

Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability

Dang. I was so excited about it and the benefits of it...especially to skin. Then I got to the "estrogenic effects" part which totally fucks me for hormone positive bc. Because of the AI I'm on, I have to keep the load down. -

Blood sugar spike one year after surgery

Congrats on your amazing success! You look great! If your bg wasn't a fasting one, what does it matter? 119 is fine if you ate less than 2 hours before that test. If you ate longer than 2 hours before the test, then 119 is a little on the high side. But it depends on what you ate at that meal and what you normally eat in a day--specifically how many carbs you average. If you typically eat a low carb diet (<50g of carbs a day), and have a cheat meal that is high carb, then you can have a HUGE spike that may not clear in under 2 hours. That doesn't mean you're diabetic, it means you've been low carb for a long time. Many of us WLS peeps are calorie restricted and keto by factor of being low calorie (even in the presence of carbs). So our bodies have a skewed response to a high caloric/high glycemic load meal. -

Which ones are you adding together and how do they taste? Have you tried lemon or ginger with it? I've been spending too much time reading about autophagy. I'm determined to reverse this tremor crap I have since chemo. And there are lots of teas that aid autophagy and are also supposed to support new stem cell growth and longevity. I tell ya, I'm falling down the rabbit hole more and more. Pretty soon I'm turning vegan, sporting a black mustache and looking like Valter Longo. LOL. -
Totes norm.

I threw up once about 3 weeks out and it was not "that bad." Now, although I get horribly nauseated at times, I cannot throw up. I had RNY about 13months ago.

No. I honestly haven't swallowed gum accidentally or intentionally since about first grade... -

Earl Grey + Green Tea = "Match" made in heaven. I'm having it right now! Matcha to follow mid-morning. But I don't have a beautiful set like you. -
Woooohoooo winner, winner, chicken dinner! Congrats on making great choices, too!

Dehydration can cause ALL kinds of terrible nausea. We all must force feed our water/liquids to keep up with it. And you will see, as you become more and more hydrated, a lot of non-physical related nausea goes away, healing happens, and more fat loss occurs.

Sweetie, come hang out and play for sure and do your reading. But I think 3months out is still too soon to add IF, IMHO. I think you need to be a minimum of 6 months out and MUST be able to eat ALL of your protein with food and be getting a good amount of veg/nutrition from food. You do you, but I think anything less is kinda overkill. Let your surgery work for you as you work for it. -

I doubt it. Staples are titanium, or I "think" also dissolving staples maybe? They are not magnetic. That's why you can still have an MRI. MRIs and magnets are bad news. I've got titanium clips and staples all over my bod and they show up on xray and CTs, but I can still have MRIs.
