Gorgeous pretty lady! Love your figure, smile, and that glam outfit! Boyyyyy howdeee!!! WTG! Congrats!

You don't have to be keto girlfriend! Nor that restrictive. Just maybe think about for now filling your tum with super FILLING high fiber stuff that isn't calorically dense nor sweet/a bunch of high glycemic carbs that break down to sugar. (i.e. More salads - lots of them! Instead of oatmeal, do a chocolate chia and hemp heart warm pudding with some blueberries (frozen) on them, only 1/2ounce and a dollop of vanilla Greek yogurt, plain sweetened with a drop or two of stevia.) Those sorts of swaps. Right? Instead of popcorn, do pork rinds and a yogurt Ranch dip or yogurt onion dip...that sort of thign.

OMG!! I can just see the two of yall wearin those adorbs jams! Now spill it sistah! Where'd you get them? I see them in our future for Valentine's Day! You are doing so dang good woman (ahem, and so PERKY too--in a non-pervy observational sorta way)! Gosh that salad is playin' my song. (And @ms.sss!) I could fall into it face first! So far today I'm channeling Ms.SSS and have had salad at B & L! #snort No bees or chickens down here - sadly. But I threaten that I want to move to BFE in the Hill Country and get free land taxes from an agricultural exemption for allowing rescued honeybees on our the property! "The Boys" aka sock monkeys moved to the living room during Christmas. Remind me when you've got a long time and nothin to do to tell you how they came to live at Che Fluffy. It's pretty danged funny. At least to us and they have all sorts of adventures on any given day kinda like Elf on the Shelf. You never know where one of them will show up! Heal well sweet friend. Hugs and love to Hubs! Tell 'em he's a keeper for being such a trooper and takin' care of our Miss Sophie! -

*drool* (slurp) -
Agree! I tend to keep fat lower for 2 reason (this is my personal issue): 1. Higher fat meals make me nauseous and might contribute to RH from delayed stomach emptying now that I have RNY. 2. I found that I lose better as an old lady, post meno taking a hormone drug that shuts things down, so keeping cals low and protein adequate with lots of fiber seems to be my magic bullet to wlsucess. But I will say, there is no doubt in my mind I would have fewer hunger events if I upped my fat a bit.
-
Are any of these new foods? At a guess, it's gonna take 4-7days for your blood sugars to behave again. Until then, you WILL be hungry. If it were me, I'd cut WAY back on the carbs and push protein. It will help bring your hunger back into satiety mode. If I ate 1c of strawberries with 1/4 of oatmeal...I'd be hungry. Likewise if I ate lavish roll + chickpea puffs? Hungry. Plus if I ate popcorn and the healthy habits (sugar) popsicle = pure hunger. You've got a lot of sugar and carbage running around in there. And it would keep me muchie and looking for food. But these are triggers for me and YMMV. ((hugs))

Discouraged and need advice
FluffyChix replied to Seimmaj's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you are drinking full sugar versions of these, here is most likely your culprit. Ditch the sugary drinks. Drink as little artificially sweetened drinks as you can. And get your water in. Eat your protein first. You should be on softs now? So do soft dense lean protein first. And after have a bite or two of well cooked low glycemic veg and only a tiny bit of fat. Limit cheese and only do plain Greek nonfat yogurt or 2% cottage cheese and you can mix it with fruit flavored protein powders for sweetness. -
Feel better soon!!!

What are you eating. Share a day or two of menus with quantities please?

A binge does not define you as a "terrible person." ((hugs)) Instead, use it as a teachable/learning moment. Instead of beating yourself up and feeling x,y,z, consider it an experiment. See what you can change up to create a new behavior or end an unhealthy one! Look at it objectively (the event): 1. What can you learn from the event? 2. What were you feeling at the time? 3. What were you thinking at the time? 4. What was "running in the background" (i.e. thoughts, tv, radio, mood, atmosphere, did it remind you of a previous time good or bad)? 5. What are actionable baby steps you can do to prevent this recurrence? (i.e. get crap out of your house or put it where you can't easily see it or get to it or have to live with it, set an action plan that might include: exercise/walking, calling a friend, coming to the forum and chatting, focusing on a hobby or crafting project, playing cards, drink water, deep breathe (4 square breathing), meditate, yoga, pray, watch a comedy, hug someone you love, stand in front of the mirror and physically tell yourself why you are proud of your accomplishments.) 6. Pose in front of the mirror in your favorite super hero pose. Do it daily. 7. Journal the event and all the details. Start tracking event free days. Put a star or a sticker for every event free day.
