    Food Before and After Photos

I'm presently a little obsessed with Living Lettuce butter lettuce heads and making lettuce cups. So far two meals in a row: turkey tacos then tuna tacos. So. Damn. Good!
  2. Google bariatric dietician in your area and start there. When you find one, talk on the phone for initial interview. If they can't help ask for a referral to someone specialized in this. But get a counselor!!! I don't know where you need to start with food. You could seriously injure yourself with refeeding too quickly in the wrong way. Depends on just how badly you've been restricting food.
  3. First step is to start eating. You need at least 80g-100g per day in your situation but 60g is a good but inadequate start. You will need protein yes, but you will also need to get in more calories than your mind will allow you to consume right now. But I'm not a licensed anything, just a shmo on the internet. You are still consuming too few calories. I think at this point you need to be hospitalized and refed. You may need a feeding tube to get you where you need to be for gain. Go to the ER. Get admitted there.
  4. You call your surgeon's office back and ask for a referral to their bariatric dietition (RD) and to a bariatric counselor. That's ALL you need at this point except you might need some home health care to help you!!! And you MUST make yourself eat. But anorexia is an underlying mental illness and must be treated in several modalities to be effective. Some of those include hospitalization.
  5. You need to get help from a therapist and RD. You may need some home health. I'm so sorry you are going through this. But safflower oil is a terrible kind of fat to add to your drinks. It really damages your heart long term. Ask your PCP for help. If you are dealing with anorexia, the cure is way more complicated than simply "upping" your cals or drinking Boost. It constitutes a near medical emergency IMHO. ((hugs))

    3 month post RNY foods

Follow your surgeon's rules. They are there for a reason=to absolutely MAXIMIZE your weight loss. Don't get tricky. Just blindly follow his or her plan. Let's face it. We didn't exactly do so well for ourselves when we were in control and winging it, did we? Don't squander your honeymoon period. The. End.

Weighing in at the doctor's office

Not at all. LOL. I'm right there with you! I only have morning appts. I wear the same thing each time and it's the lightest set of clothes I own. And I take my shoes off and make sure I pee just before the weigh in. Oh and go fasted with no fluids in me. And no coffee, cuz coffee will add a pound to the scale all the time. Obsessed much? LOL! 🍾

    So depressed I need help

No you won't. You will be hungry for about 4-5 days. Pound water! Here's what I ate yesterday! I fasted through until 1pm yesterday. So each day I do an 18:6 TRE (time restricted eating). I had the following: Breakfast: Black decaff coffee + green tea + bergamot tea + turmeric/ginger tea (all unsweetened) Lunch: Big Ass Stirfry (ate it in 2 meals) Snack: Maatcha Greek Yogurt with Blueberries and Walnuts Dinner: Turkey Lettuce Cups (like tacos in lettuce)

    Gout

Dang! Drop the prednisone. Reduce your protein. What did she say to do with the protein? I'd eat no red meats or cheese for a while. Ditch the carbs. Stop any protein drinks and get your protein from foods. Sorry you are dealing with this.

    So depressed I need help

2nd opinion. Go back to basics. Take it one day at a time. Do the things that worked right out of surgery. Clean your crap out of the house: pantry, fridge, freezer. Go back to exercising everyday. Drink your water but don't drink with meals. Follow your old rules!!!! If you must snack, make it highly dense, low reward foods: hb eggs, raw veggies with a bit of Greek yogurt mixed with herbs and must be 100cals or less. Ditch the carbage. Focus on dense very lean proteins. Drop your cals to the level you were at when losing. Consider doing IF with EFs (extended fasts) once you are fat adapted.
  18. Beautiful!!! Congrats to you both. You both look younger and healthy!

    Food Before and After Photos

https://www.vitacost.com/vitacost-shirataki-rice-non-gmo-and-gluten-free I love it! I rinse it well, dry fry it in a pan until it's dry. Then add spices to it and put it aside. Then dry sautee the veg until al dente, give a couple olive oil sprays and add my "sauce ingredients": WF Sesame Ginger or Asian Dressing, rice wine vinegar, tamari, sambal oelek, toasted sesame oil. I add the shirataki rice portion to it and toss. I don't usually have so many ingredients in a stirfry, but I had a lot of veggies about to go bad. This made 2 meals:

    Food Before and After Photos

Lunch today. I'm so afraid of dumping I won't eat Chinese out any more. So made my own "miracle" stir fry using very little oil, and no sugar and miracle rice. So dang good!!! I forgot to add the chopped almonds/cashews for the pic but they were delish. Still working on it, but think there will be leftoverskis.

    The struggle is real...

Use water. When hungry, drink water (not sweetened) or decaff green tea or decaff black coffee. The hydration will help you heal quicker and allow you to be able to consume your foods and progress your diet appropriately! Good for you for talking to yourself and moving! Get your move on girl!!

    Alternative Pasta

At 14 months, I do. I only eat 1 serving--not a whole bag though. And I follow the rules: protein first, veggies second, and if room, then the noodles. I chew them up super well though!

    Alternative Pasta

I love the shirataki noodles/rice. The bean pastas make me hungry and my blood sugar spikes too much. I spiral all different kinds of veggies and love them both as salad raw, and cooked with sauces!
