Had Emergency Surgery Just Now
FluffyChix replied to FluffyChix's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Well, I'm back to my low weight! Am 133.4lbs this morning. But my azz may always be big (relatively) and my tum is still puffy and swollen, so I'm thinking I may have 3-4lbs of extra weight on me right now. Waiting breathlessly and impatiently for this to happen. (Even so, I kinda feel like I cheated on the final leg of the weight loss.) Cuz hells, a blind squirrel can find a nut now and then and that's kinda how I think of this surgery. I found a blind nut. Coulda been bad, but turned into a boon to keep my yap shut and not eating! ((Note to @Sosewsue61 *snort* I read this as "Glad you are almost back to you SMALL azz self." and all I can add is that reading comprehension is a highly underrated skill. The struggle is real. LOLOLOLOL!) -

It's all good. Just a small hiccup, that I probably went Drama Llama on. Ha! It happens! Oh, and back to 133.4lbs this morning. What a difference a week makes, right? Am I right? And I "ralked" (ran-walked at 3mph) this morning for 30 minutes. -
OK guys maybe I’m just pessimistic (I stress maybe) but am I the only one who has found this surgery to be a complete B*TCH?!
FluffyChix replied to HopefulonLI's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I realize I'm in the minority here, but I used to have to take Flexeril + Narco 10/325's daily on schedule for chronic pain when I was MO. And no doubt I was hooked on them. During both surgeries for weight, I was givin a trilogy of drugs that work synergistically with each other: tramadol, tylenol, gabapentin. This combo worked great!!! I didn't stay on it long enough to get a dependence for gaba or the tramadol. But I loved it and felt it helped me heal much quicker without the added stress of opiods. -
Some of my favorite no brainer foods that I could make and keep in the fridge: tuna, salmon, or chicken salad made with hard boiled egg and cultured low fat cottage cheese (replacing mayo) with a dab of Greek yogurt and dijon, some pickle juice or relish (which i could get out of mushie phase). chicken green bean "casserole"--I made up little microwave ramekins with the mixture. Just follow the green bean casserole recipe from Thanksgiving and cut quantities in quarter or half. Add a can or two of drained, flaked canned chicken. Then split up and cover. Nuke just before serving. Add a couple of the fried onion or fried garlics from salad toppers. Yum. I also made ground turkey and mushrooms and cubed zucchini or baby spinach, and would add a spoon of Heinz gravies from a jar (any kind--I like brown gravy best). I mostly just did fish, chicken, turkey, shrimp + veg + healthy fat. Super easy to cook your meat in small batches. 1 piece of chicken could last days in the early days. Then use frozen veg cuz easy to measure and weigh and they are mushier than fresh -- until you can tolerate texture better. Hope that helps.

Embrace the restriction hon. Look at this time as a challenge: How do you maximize deep nutrition and satisfy your protein requirements most fully while eating your very small portion limit? Once you know what a meal consists of then you know how many meals to eat per day in order to get your protein down. I was about 350-500 cals at your time and was able to get my 60-80g of protein in but little else. Today at 17months, I could theoretically eat 1 1/2-2 cups of food depending on what it is. So your tool will heal with time and it's natural and expected for you to increase your servings. So this is a golden time for you! Congrats! Maximize it!

❤My Revision Story❤
FluffyChix replied to GreenTealael's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
((hugs)) This is psychologically so hard -- even knowing logically that it's all IV and surgery related, seeing that scale bounce and feeling bloated from it, is just flat discouraging. WTG on liberating 3 of those pounds. Pee like a racehorse! hehe -
New Drink it is heaven!

Love the accessory of the day!!!! And adorable figure. I agree, what puff and stuff? Congrats on your most excellent revision, on not whining, and on being such a trooper!!!

Dang woman! What a darlin' figure and great dress. Now you make me want to get to 117 so I can "have your smokin shape" lol!

So dang cute! Love your outfits!
-
Ok, here was yesterday's dress. I gotta say though, I feel great and thin in it, but it looks too big for me in the pics! And now I feel like I look frumpy in it a After seeing all y'all bangin' bods and adorable dresses!

Where will you be 9 months from now?
FluffyChix replied to KT1981's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
In 9 months I want to be maintaining my Barbie DreamGirl Goal Weight of 125lbs. I want to have on an absolutely fabulous outfit, and have @Healthy_life2 bitchin' legs (all without working out... hehe), and be having a blast living life with Mr. F, fam and friends. -
