    Breakfast

Hahaha! IKR? I should probably have mentioned that all my pics are for my "Elevensies" or 2nd breakfast. I used to do a protein drink every morning for 1st brekky, now if I'm not IF, then I just do a jooge of PP in my coffee as creamer and still count it as First Brekky. But generally just have it black.

Vets - How often do you weigh yourself?

I know right?!!! I feel welcome relief and comfort from my daily routine! Love the morning weigh in to keep me honest and on track. Love the planning/logging/tracking so I know what happens in response to a certain day of food. And yes, totes cray on how quickly an offplan day can increase your weight!!! Congrats on your huge and inspiring success!!! 200lbs in 18 months!!! Woot!!
  7. I made this as a microwave version when I was on mushies. I used the low fat soup and canned chicken. It was really delish and satisfying. And perfectly on plan. I put it up in small 1/4c portions and froze it. Then i'd take one out per meal and nuke it for like 1 minute 20 seconds and had a meal of which I ate maybe 1/2 of it. The bariatric version isn't carb heavy at all. Here's my recipe for it, but now I just omit the COC soup and use COM.

    No Interest in Food?

Awesome on fruits and veggies. But make the "snacking" = grazing to most of us near vets or vets. And to us "snacking" = "grazing" is a very very bad thing--on any level. For most of us, the more we eat (the more frequent grazing meals we eat) the hungrier we are and the less actual protein eating we do. Making an intentional meal of fruits and veggies is just fine. Unless you are carb intolerant then you might want to lean more on veg and lower the fruit consumption. Many of us gain if we "snack" too much on fruit. And yeah, I woke up read all the threads about hard times and just got irritated and snapped and Bad Fluffy emerged. So my language got away from me. My apologies. And for the record? I can eat 2-3X as many veg (cooked or raw) as I can eat dense lean protein. And the carbs and sugars in the veg DO add up. They tell you protein first for a reason. You are trying to absolutely MAXIMIZE the satiety and small portions and low calories. That's part of what the surgery does. Let it do it's job by us following our doctor's rules. Many docs say NO snacking and only 3 meals per day. Mine allowed 3 meals and 1-2 very small mini meals (like an ounce of protein or a 1/2 of cooked veg or 1 cup of salad = 100 cals or less per mini meal.)

  12. Walking same day of surgery. And never looked back. Now walk about 60+mins per day + core exercises willy nilly during the week x2.
  13. Hmmm. Is it on the surface and like pin needle electric spark sharp? Or is it duller like a knife and deeper? Like almost deep inside?

    Loss of appetite

You are too deeply into ketosis when this happens. It's called "SNAT" or semi nauseous all the time. You can have a drink with a few carbs in it, or eat something higher in carb. A great way to do this is to have a cream soup with some veggies blended in it. Like even tomato soup, or butternut squash or pumpkin soup. Or even a little baked potato soup. It will bring you up out of your deep level and get your food issue over. BUT I personally would just make sure that somehow some way I was meeting my protein goal. Put your protein drink in black coffee so it's just creamy and not very sweet. Make sure you are getting in ALL of your fluids. And go on with life. It's a phase that will soon end as soon as you really progress your diet more and are eating a bit more. Deep Deep in ketosis = mostly protein and a little fat and very low carb = SNAT

    Binge eating-14 months after surgery

It sounds like you really should look into therapy. Cuz it kinda sounds like you are having emotions at night in response to being alone (or maybe even boredom) and then are using food as a coping/comfort mechanism. And once you start, you eat to sick. It is possible to injure and alter your body. You MAY stretch your pouch or your small intestine just below or your esophagus above. Any and all of that is not good with habitual repeated binging. Please get help 1 on 1 and in group. And try in the meantime to figure out incremental activities that will keep your brain and hands occupied until bed! ((hugs)). I love the coloring app on my phone! I color a couple of picks a night plus walk or run for 5-10 minutes! It works. I also pound a glass of water quickly when feeling like I "MUST" have food. And I also do the CBT head work, 4 square breathing, and tapping (EFT).

    Post sleeve feelings

Yes very normal and temp of liquids/solids matters to many of us. I could not handle cold. So room temp or warm was very soothing and I could get fluids down MUCH easier. And it helped the little cramping. Hang in there. That will pass within a week or 2 at the most (about 3-4 days for me).

    No Interest in Food?

You won't know until you go through it. I actually did not lose my appetite for very long...maybe about 3 weeks. But I have still powered through and done very well. And I'm not the only one. Nothing unique about me. No superior ability or will. I just followed my doc's orders and dyed to my baser desires in favor of a long term good. I'm just a shmo on the internet...very very average. You can do this even IF you don't lose your appetite. That's the beauty of this surgery!

    No Interest in Food?

Bullying is the incorrect word. I'm totally aggravated by the sheer number of posts crying about or lamenting the changes from this surgery and their present food situation. We all have had this amazing opportunity to change our life. And yet we're talking about nonsense. We all had to travel down and through this path. And it is HARD. It sucks. But there is beauty beyond and there is MUCH to gain by just going with the flow and dying to your baser instincts and relations with food. My motivation in answering is not to invalidate the posters. It's to abruptly break where their brain is going. It's a wake up shout. And psychologists often say you need to have an abrupt noise or action to break a chain/cycle of downward motion.
