And that's the person you think would be supportive of anything you do. hopefully she will come around when she sees you happy and loving life. She will realize that negativity gets you nowhere. Instead of deciding to not go through with the surgery immediately, go ahead through your 6 month process AS THOUGH you are planning on having the procedure. You can ALWAYS decide NOT to do it in the end, but with your vision on the line and your current BMI, I believe this surgery is in your best interest.

And 6 months buys you more time to learn and think about it... and since there are diet classes and psych evaluations, you can learn more about yourself in the process.. anything you learn by going through the process will help you be successful with or without the actual surgery.
