I'm having a huge issue with this as well. At night my lips are cracked and very very dark pink/raw looking. Nothing much is helping. I need to up my fluid a bit more. -

I am officially off my blood pressure med. I've lost a wee bit over 27 pounds since Valentines day of this year. 16 since surgery a week ago. I've been off metformin since a bit before surgery. I've take ZERO units of meal time insulin since the day after surgery. I don't have to take the long acting at night AND only need to in the morning if my numbers are higher. I seem to be doing really well and they were all very pleased with my progress so far. So am I! I'm so used to being happy for others that are doing well that I almost forgot about my work and choices paying off. Guys...I just wanna cry. I am finally able to show myself that my choice has been a good one. I used to put myself last...more like pluto the non-planet planet. I'm so happy I had this surgery. I have a hard time believing it and sometimes feel like pinching myself. It's not the easy way so many ignorant people claim it to be. I am so thankful.

I’m fixin my mom dinner for when she gets home. I air fried some tator tots... sounds simple enough except for my huge brain fart. Without thinking I popped one in my mouth. I bit down on it and I finally realized what I was doing. I spit it out and rinsed with water then listerine. It shows you how much of a habit things can be. Before I’d eat 4-6 tots before dinner was even ready...sometimes more. I am thankful for this learning and eye opening moment.

It is stomach pain. Kind of like a cramp that subsides after 3-4 seconds. I see the doctor Wednesday for the week after check up.

Hi everyone, I had my sleeve on the 14th. Overall it’s gone great. One thing I’ve noticed is a bit of pain after swallowing liquid(all I am on atm). Then a kind of gurgling noise in my tummy after the paid subsidies. It is not extreme pain but definitely there. I am going very slow with liquids. Any tips are appreciated!

Where on you did you first notice weight lose
melsabells replied to allwet's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
i've already noticed my fingers have lost a bit. -
It just doesn’t have the same pull. Day of surgery I threw up/dry heaved over 6 times. As much as I wish it hadn’t been that way it made me feel differently about food. My brother and his family came over yesterday and my mom and me made them pizza(just frozen ones). While I thought it smelled good I had zero interest in it same for the frosted cookies. It just wasn’t the same pull. I was fine sipping on a protein drink. I know things often change but I’ll take this little victory!

I knew that the dry mouth was expected. I’ve tried biotein and it helps a bit. My lips are very raw and nothing I have is helping them heal. Any brand that helped you out? Also, after I got to my room Wednesday my mom noticed I had a slight black eye and light bruises on my neck. Did anyone else have this issue?

Thank you fo the replies! Yesterday was rough, had some serious post nasal drip that made me throw up a 6 times. I am doing ok today and well enough to come home! Our area is super dry so dirt in the wind has been awful. I was able to go to Walmart while waiting on a prescription to be filled. Had about 30-40 walking time. Thanks again!

Surgery delay
melsabells replied to Coppola bus 103's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I almost gave up when my surgery was cancelled the first few times. Other reasons but it is all very upsetting. Hope you get an appointment soon! -
I am having the surgery in the morning tomorrow. I am so cold! If you knew me you'd know that's almost unheard of unless i'm sick. I am guessing it's all the water and other fluids i'm taking in today. 60ozs so far of liquid. I tried some decaf coffee and it was eck. Now I'm about to try some decaffeinated tea hot. I think my hands are about as cold as i've ever felt normally. I've read that a lot of people are cold after surgery. I am usually very hot natured so I am wondering what some of y'alls experiences with that may be?

I see a psychiatrist every three months, been seeing her for over 7 years. A letter from her was accepted by the insurance. I am bi-polar, depression and anxiety issues. All my team has been really great about this whole process.
