    Psych visit

Hello. Tomorrow is my psych visit. I'm not sure how I feel. I'm excited because it will be another appointment I can mark off my list but also nervous of the unknown. I've already seen the cardiologist and I don't have to do a stress test! I did have to do an echo and will get the results this upcoming Monday 8/28. I'm being positive that he will clear me. I don't have my pulmonologist visit until late Sept. I'm on the 3 month multi supervision plan with Aetna but with my pulmonologist appt being so late is making it more like 4 months. But I'm just educating myself in this time. I'm excited! I need this for my health and to be more active with my kids. Thx for this forum...I just needed to get this out.

My appt went really well. She said she doesn't have a problem giving me the go ahead for the surgery. she suggests I look for a class on managing my stress. I'm happy the appt is done. Not bad at all. On to the other appts on my pee on list...😊

    Newbie Greeting

Hello. We sound alike with doing things on our own. I just joined this site not too long ago but have been reading this forum atleast 4 months now before joining. There are so many things that inspire me here. Good luck with your journey!
  10. Hello all, Long time reader. My story....I decided to get wls in the beginning of 2017. I've thought about it before but never looked into it. Just like alot of people have heard the bad things of wls, I heard the same. I decided on the sleeve in Feb because from what I learned it's a more gradual weight loss process. I'm ready for the lifestyle change. I chose to do the multi supervision process for 3 months with my pcp and dietitian. I started my process this month July so two more months to go. I've learned alot from reading the posts on this site along with watching a bunch of YouTube videos. My bmi is over 50 and I have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. My surgeon stated that after the surgery I could still be on my medication. I'm positive that might change as long as I stick to plan. I've learned so much in this journey and I know there is still a long road ahead but I'm up for it. Even on my bad days I try to stay positive. Not only am I on this journey to better myself but my family is too. I have a great support in my kids and their dad. I've only told a few people at work and my mom and sister. They all support me and are rooting for me. They understand why I need this life changing tool. I'm ready to be even more active than I already am. One thing learned since I started this process is that I have to stop being afraid to sweat. I'm finding out that I do like working out just about everyday even if only for 20 mins. Building up that sweat and seeing progress makes me smile. Thanks for all who took the time to read my story.
