Hello My name is Tina. I am 14 months post op from a RNY Gastric bypass. I just wanted to encourage you to say dont be so hard on yourself! You are doing awesome!!!!! Wow 200 pounds is more than an achievement, it is nothing short of a milestone!! Sometimes we do have stalls in our weight loss. I would talk to my surgeon and nutritionist about what your target weight would be. My team gave me a target weight like most. It sounds to me like you are doing above and beyond with 200 pounds! Lol.. Keep up the great work and keep moving forward as you are! Your weight loss journey is a beautiful one! [emoji2] Blessings! Tina Sent from my LG-LS777 using BariatricPal mobile app

I have not had one but my surgeon gave me a medication to prevent them. I take it hit or miss because it is a huge capsule, i recently started to open it and sprinkle it on sugar free pudding. Sent from my SM-J320P using BariatricPal mobile app

Yes, it is normal to be put on puree diet after any bariayric surgery. The stomach staple line has to heal and chunks of food can get caught and cause terrible complications. Follow the diet to the utmost, also consult your medical staff with any questions and concerns! Puree is a very normal and safe phase. My surgeon advanced me to a soft diet after 30 days. Dont worry! Hello, I am 30 days post op from a RNY Gastric Bypass and I have been having bad constipation! Right after the surgery I was emptying ok as tome went on the constipation has gotten worse. I know it is a combination of water intake, balancing fruit veggies and that protein push...lol I think I am concentrating too much on protein intake instead of a balance fruits and veggies through out day. Called surgeons office they said "its a part of this type of surgery to just get milk of magnesia" . I want to op more for something a bitore natural like prunes or prune juice. Is anyone having this issue with constipation? Please feel free to take me under your gadtric bypass wing...lol. I could use the support! I had my surgery on 6/21/17, starting weight of 216 I am now 185! Thats about 30lbs. I am so happy I did this despite my fear of having my gut rearranged lol. I have more energy and I am already able to come off 2 of my medications! I am still trying to balancing fruits, veggies, water and protein! I find myself getting constipated. My surgeons office says take milk of magnesia but I think I would like to try something a bot mor natural like prunes or prune juice. Has anyone struggled with this at this stage? I could use the support and thank you in advance for replying! [emoji151] Sent from my SM-J320P using BariatricPal mobile app
