Remembering it's a battle of the mind is the most important. I am three weeks out, but still have one consciously make the right decisions

Sams club sells th bariatric advantage brand?
  5. Have you tried the Isopure liquid protein drinks? They have several flavors and each 20oz bottle is 40g of protein. Drink them ice cold and over ice and that will help u eat more protein. I got mine from the vitamin shop

The Ninja is awesome! I made organic pinto bean and black bean puree and used onions, bell peppers, and some lean ground turkey and it is SOOO GOOD. The ninja makes it super smooth and easy to swallow. I bought 2 ounce and 4 ounce portion cups as well. I am currently getting full off of the 2 ounce cups and drink my protein shakes for a snack.

    Three Weeks Post Op Stall

I lost exaxtly 17 pounds as well and I thought I was stalling out, come to find out I was not getting enough fluids. Yesterday 7/22/17 was the FIRST TIME I got all 64 oz of water in. If we don't drink enough it will slow us down. Today I already had my first 16 oz bottle of water and I am going to open up my 2nd one in a few minutes. Stay encouraged and make sure you are getting your protein in.

Hi i just started my puree diet a few days ago. I have been enjoying black bean or pinto bean puree ( organic beans from sprouts) and I cook them with onions, bell peppers, and a little ground turkey. After it cooks together I throw it in my ninja to get it smooth, and it's so wonderful. I started my vitamins two weeks out and I ordered them from Amazon 1. ProCare Health is the brand- Bariatric Multivitamins with 45 MG of Iron ( 90 pills in the bottle) take 1 per day - $45.99 2. Caltrate is the brand: Calcium supplement with D3 - they are gummie bites 3. Liquid B-12- I got those locally from sprouts 4. Biotin - 10,000 mcg 1 time per day. I take these now to prevent the hair loss that usually occurs 3-6 months after surgery. The brand I ordered from Amazon is made by a company called Sports Research- High potency Biotin made with coconut oil and it's 120 pills in the bottle they were $19.99

  13. How did you all get the sticky residue left behind from the surgical bandages off of your body? I would think it would wear off after three weeks but I guess not. Any suggestions?

I left mine on my stomach until I removed the stitches. So, I had a very black stomach for the last 2 weeks. 2 days ago I got in the tub with a bottle of witch hazel and a bottle of baby oil .. The baby oil was the best. Put it on and let it soften a bit then scraped it off with a case knife. no sharp but the the serated teeth were needed. Also used the teeth of a striaght comb to scrape. It took a while and was messy.. I suggest to have a roll of paper towel to rub the residue off the knife and comb otherwise it tough to get off the tub.

I didn't have stitches just the surgical glue. I was able to get some of it off but struggling with the rest I will try the baby oil today

  14. Today I am 3 weeks out and feeling good! I started puree foods a few days ago and that was exciting. I suggest purchasing portion control cups. I got some that are 2 ounces and 4 ounces. I am literally full off of the 2 ounce cups. I am struggling with my water intake, that is something that I need to focus on. Anyone struggling on getting all of their daily fluids in?

  15. I am 22 days out and I also struggle with cooking. i can only have puree foods right now, but I have enjoyed making my own pinto bean or black bean puree with onions, bell peppers, and ground turkey. I still have head hunger when I see restaurants, but not physical hunger. The struggle is real.
