  1. @ElysiaDee yep that's the recipe. My other on is refried beans, ground turkey seasoned with taco seasoning, non chunky salsa and mozzarella. Baked in the oven for 10 min to melt cheese and heat it up. Both of these will be my staple for the next 2 weeks. So good.
  2. Hey, So I have a job that forces me into extreme social situations and I'm a musician who spends a ton of time on stage with people staring at me. But all my life, being a big dude, I've never enjoyed the spot light. I know I'm introverted naturally. I know I don't need more than a couple people in my inner circle and then the rest I can keep at arms length. But I've always hated small talk and whatever. People frustrate me naturally.. and thats more a "me" issue... I also know that I don't go out because I don't feel comfortable in my own skin. I'm currently 50lbs down from my max capacity. Which is awesome, and I know I'll be getting more adventurous as my wife wants and craves social interactions. So I'm excited for that for not only me but for her. But I'm curious on your antisocial behaviors and how the surgery has helped. Thanks
  3. I don't have this issue yet, but I'm guessing it will happen in a year or so for me. But check out Saxx underwear. They are boxer briefs with a mesh lining to keep the goods good. Their slogan is "comfort for your balls"
  4. @Kyle Lukas Great insight. Yea, I haven't told too many people yet. And those who know are inner circle type people who I know have my back for life... Ride or die types. The relationships/friendships thing will be interesting to walk through, so I've heard.
  5. Hey, So I love reading all the various advice and stories from everyone. I'm almost 2 weeks post op and searching these forums for some guys. Seems like theres a bit of an overbalance in these forums. Anyways, looking to hear some stories of how to deal with head cravings, what to expect as a guy in my first couples months post op. (I know men and women loose differently)... Looking for some creative ways to hit that 80g protein mark early on... I'm downing 40g in an Isopure bottle daily and then more with some cream soup. I'm craving meat and can't wait to puree a ribeye or something... Just any men out there? Marsh
  6. @Knight32206 Great advice, I really miss crushing 20oz of water in a sitting with no issue. I used to be so hydrated. But now I got permanent cotton mouth... The worst. So yea, gotta learn to carry water around at all times. I made some food today as puree starts tomorrow. Can't wait. I may have had a slice of turkey the other day with no issue either, but don't tell my Dr. @FamilyGuyNJ Yea, I miss chunky peanut butter...but I'll have to look into that PB2 stuff. Never enjoyed the "natural" stuff... and powder seams even worse in theory... @Kurt W Thanks for the advice. I have a 7 mouth pup and so we go for some walks around the dog park. Can't wait to be able to lift weights again. Cause I know I'll need to maintain the muscle I have. As for protein, isopure is a easy 40g per day, and my protein shakes I dump a 2 scoops and make them extra thick to get some added protein. So I think if I continue that, it will be great. I think reality is slowly hitting me that I'm dropping lb's really quick right now. I'm currently the weight I was 5 years ago at 50lbs down. Which is awesome and my wife continues to drop me some solid compliments that fill my ego up. Haven't felt these feelings in a while... surreal.
  7. I had my first encounter with "dumping" last night... luckily it was jello. Learned my lesson and my current capacity... Which is a plus I guess..
  8. I think my biggest thing is I want to loose enough weight that I can officially say I lost a whole person in fat... I'm tired of feeling like I've been piggy backing a 200lb man around everywhere I go.
  9. @atontor Dude, way to go. Hoping for my own success like yours. @DaleCruse Thanks man, I have to admit, I did eat some eggs and even a slice of shaved ham already and it didn't really bother me... But trying my hardest to stay with the diet timeline my Dr gave me... 2 more days and then I can officially do purees...
  10. I'm 12 days post op from my Mexico surgery. My DR. Dr Haucuz was awesome. The nurses were great, didn't speak too much english but were patient with me and all the resident Dr's spoke fluently. The hospital was a bit dated, but cleaner than anything in Canada I've seen. Just didn't have all the bells and whistles you might see in Canada or the US. But that didn't bother me none. The swallow test sucks. But I'm glad I have proof that the pouch is there and there isn't any leaks. I was in and out in 3-4 days and back in my bed before I knew it. No regrets. I'm loosing weight and feeling great.

Guys who started over 400 lbs.

Hey guys, So I was sleeved on July 10th and have been reading through this thread... First off. Thanks. Glad I'm not alone here as the big dude. All the successes you guys have had is giving me some much needed boosters. My max capacity before pre-op was 460(ish). Never really nailed down the exact number but I was hovering that since christmas. I'm down to 412lb and excited to see some 3's here shortly. My wife is already noticing a change in me, even though I don't necessarily see it. Needless to say. I'm 12 days post op and feeling great. Not sure if its weird or not, but I feel super normal. I feel like I can eat whatever (but I KNOW I shouldn't and I wont)... Zero pain, zero anything really. Been walking my dog and jogging my stairs with ease. Been funny even noticing how 40ish lbs down and my energy levels are increased. My biggest struggle is trying to find a way to get my protein in. I'm currently getting around 60g... But can't seem to push the 80g mark. Going to start the puree on Monday and might just blend up a ribeye or something... Any advice? Thanks Marshall
  12. Oh, I don't deny my addiction is real... haha! I found the man room forum.. gonna spend the night reading up there.

When can you travel after GS

I had my surgery in Mexico and flew home to Canada on day 5 of my post op. Wasn't comfortable but I survived. Ask your Dr. but I'm sure you should be ok.
