Really had a bad food weekend over here. Started to slip back into old habits and couldn't keep my hand away from my mouth I swear. I wasn't overly hungry (any more than normal) but made some poor choices and was just plain stupid. I am going to be back on track today. I won't know until tomorrow when I do my weekly weigh-in how much damage I caused - but I have to just accept whatever the ugly number shows and move on and not dwell on it this time. In my old life if I gained or did some crappy eating I would dwell on it and think "Well, I am already screwing up - might as well wait to start eating properly next week" and continue with my crappy eating for the week. I can not allow myself to do that this time. I have already come so far and THOUGHT I had eliminated so many bad habits, but man the minute PMS rears it's ugly head BAM I am back to eating crappy and stop exercising. I did a TON of yard work this weekend and am pretty sore so I am hoping that will help eliminate SOME of the damage to the scale I may have done. Don't get me wrong, I didn't eat an entire pizza and I didn't stuff my pouch or anything, but it was little bites of this here and there ALL WEEKEND it seemed! GRRRR! Oh well, back at it this morning.....

Officeslave replied to coolcrystal's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Holy cow Crystal - you look great! You can really see your weightloss - especially in your face. DH looks good too! You go girl! -
OMG - CoolCrystal - that is AWESOME! I think you should totally wear that robe and I REALLY hope it will be too big for you by then. You have to make a big deal about how big it is - right infront of her! I am thinking about a tatoo as well. Something tiny, hidden and girly, just for me.

How in the world have you lost 62lbs already? That is amazing. You are awesome and the video was great!

I don't know if I am too tight or what. I had my second fill on Monday night and have had trouble since. I was on 24 hrs of liquids and tried eating and have had pain with every food and a TON of sliming to go along with it. I made a huge mistake last night and ate one of those small tortillas with a piece of melted cheese on it (comfort food from childhood I guess) and thought I was going to die from it. I chewed and chewed but it still got STUCK. It was KILLING ME. I finally had to throw up after about 10 sliming sessions. I had a few other things yesterday that were painful but I didn't actually pb, just the slime. I am even tight in the mornings right now that drinks have to go down slowly or they hurt a little. I am at about 4cc in a 10cc band, so I really shouldn't be that TIGHT should I? Am I just now experiencing restriction and I should just stick it out and learn to eat smaller bites, chew better and make softer choices? Have any of you had an unfill yet? If so, do they just take a little out or all of it? I REALLY don't want to go back to STARVING because I am totally unfilled again, that was hell, but I can't live on Instant Breakfast shakes either..... ugh. Should I go on straight liquids for a day or two again to allow my stomach to rest? How long should I wait? I dont' think I have really had ANY restriction before now so I am at a loss. Help!

Biscuit Restriction or the story of my skinny roommate
Officeslave replied to ReadySteadyGo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
What a great story. You had me a "biscuit restriction". I was dying. I have skinny friends (often referred to as skinny bitches) and it KILLS me how much they eat. I probably used to eat 1/2 of what one friend eats to this day and I swear she has never been over 130 lbs in her LIFE including pregnancy. WTH? Now how does that happen? -
I don't believe it but we did a 5K this weekend as a family (3.1 miles). My youngest is only 3 and my DH ended up walking with him on his shoulders for about 90% of it, but my dd who is 5 did a great job! I couldn't believe that I did a 5K. DH did 3 or 4 of them last year and I refused to go with him (as I hadn't had my surgery and did ZERO exercise!) but this time I did! Yeah! Our time actually sucked - we averaged 17:32 per mile, but with the 2 kids dragging along and this being our first one, we were thrilled to just finish it! I guess this should go under the NSV thread, but I was so proud of us I wanted to shout it! I am pretty sore today. I do the treadmill about 30 minutes 4 or 5 times a week and am never really sore, but I am today! Street walking is a whole new ball game!

How long should I wait for an unfill?
Officeslave replied to Officeslave's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
What a relief! I had .5cc taken out and it was like a miracle! I had a little homemade chicken salad on crackers for dinner Friday night! It went down - no problem. I only ate a tiny bit because I was afraid of it coming up, but it was easy. Thanks for asking! -
How long should I wait for an unfill?
Officeslave replied to Officeslave's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well I changed my mind. I am calling today to see if they think I need a slight unfill. I couldn't even get down baked potato last night for dinner (I had maybe 2 tiny bites) and I couldn't even keep my refried beans for lunch yesterday. I would think both of those would be easy to swallow options, but both gave me horrible pains. I haven't lost weight because I have been surviving on Protein shakes, instant breakfast shakes and even some of my kids chocolate milk (hey it is thick and felt good!) but I can't keep going with no food. Sigh....so frustrated. -
That is great. I need new bras too! Good for you!

How long should I wait for an unfill?
Officeslave replied to Officeslave's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I knew in the back of my mind that the tortilla was a bad choice but did it anyway....what a dummy - I know. I really don't want an unfill....but I don't want to pb either....grrr...I think I will eat some mushies today and if not feeling at all better by tomorrow, I will call. Thanks for the advice ladies. -

Will the desire for food ever go away?
Officeslave replied to Officeslave's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am still struggling with the NO SODA thing. I am almost 12 weeks and it does still bother me. -
I still get the urge to eat large amounts of food, eat crappy food etc. Does the desire for these ever go away? I am working my butt off trying to make this work and have done ok, but I struggle every day to keep away from what I really want. I have also had somethings that hurt more than once because I can't seem to stay away from them. Any advice?

That is great! Imagine how much that will help in your weightloss! Good for you. I am with Becca....the thought of sports brings back nightmares! I did run track for 2 yrs but at 5ft 2in tall, I was terrible at it!

What food do you eat that seems to give you the most problems as far as getting stuck.....but you keep eating? I have trouble with oatmeal of all things. I think I forget and take too big of a bite about half the time. How about you?

Right after my surgery I really wasnt 100% sure where my port was (other than the pain in that general area) and now I can REALLY feel it! I haven't lost ALL that much but it is RIGHT at the surface. Can you feel yours? Has it come closer to the surface with your weightloss?
