I think I was eating way to often if though it was almost all protein to the point I did not want to eat anymore. I have cut back on my eating and I am feeling better have lost 5lbs since stall.

    Surgery regret

did your Doctor know you took antacids before your surgery? That is a major clue that you have a hernia. So sorry you are going to have to go through another surgery and the gas pains of that surgery.

    Surgery regret

I am sorry your doctor did not see the hernia at time of surgery. I had my sleeve and hernia corrected all in the same surgery. I did feel that recovery was a little longer with having them both done, but it has made a world of different for me and I am only 5 weeks post op. In the US my Dr. required an Upper GI before surgery to determine if a hernia was present. Once they determine you have one it must be corrected at time of surgery. Now that they know you have a hernia it can be repaired and you can move on with enjoying your weight loss.

    Nauseous and pain

It will get better. The day following my surgery I vomited all day! No matter what I had. It was the worse thing ever. But that was the one and only day. Just make sure you are taking your anti nausea medication even if it is a little before you should to try to get in front of it. And keep trying to drink ( which I know is externally hard). Well, During the day of hell I personally did not take any pain medication. Even though I was in pain I thought it would only make it worse for me. So what I did do was take some liquid Tylenol the kind you find OTC it is for Adults and it is red in color. That helped sooooo much with the pain and I only had to take about a total of 4 pain pill my whole recovery. I had an outpatient surgery sleeve, an hernia repair and I was able to manage on the liquid Tylenol. Maybe that will provide some relive. Are you at home? or still in the hospital? The know sleeping will last a few days. Just try to take as many little naps as you can your body does need the rest.

    Jealous of others on here

I second the parm crisps. I'm doing keto ( or trying too very new to the program) but it's a great protein packed no carb snack that gives you crunch and salt like a chip but much better. I think just 6- 10 crisp are like 10 grams of protein.

    What did you loose?

Everyone is saying this is normal. Search stalls, there are several recent post with great info. 20lbs in a week, is great.
  9. Thank you so much for the info. Trying to stay positive.
  10. Yes i also have been in a stall for about a week in a half. I get all my protein, very low carbs, take my vitamins, I need to workout more but I'm still eating less that 500 calories a day.

96 pounds down in three months

I disagree, people basically called him a lie. That is pure and simple heat.

    Female question...

    Yes this is normal.

    Surgery regret

    Can I eat this?

Amen!!! Please add me as a friend. We need to be honest on this site.

    Can I eat this?

From the looks of it has zero protein and 15g of carbs. I would never suggest you eat that. Try some sugar free jello with some seasoning on it.

    2nd Day Post-Op

I'm 12 days out and I still have a little tenderness on side that had the largest incision. I took medication for my nausea for about 6 days. Then it turned around. The first week just try to focus on getting as much fluid as possible even if you are not thirsty. I was the total opposite I have been dying of thirst. If you can start trying to get off the pain medication. I only took it a total of 4 times once I was home. I took liquid Tylenol adult and it seemed to work just as well and the foggy feeling I had slowly went away. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

    2nd Day Post-Op

Well with fluids they go down really easy. I would say the first feeling of being full did not come for me until soft food. I hear this is really common. Also everyone has a different feeling of being full. For me it comes as feeling like the food is right in the middle of my chest. It feels like if I take another bite it will not be good. But I will say it is not the feeling of being full you had before. It will be totally different.

    Just got discharged - AMA

Not every Dr places you on clear fluids. For example my Dr. Places all sleeve patients on a full fluid diet for 3 weeks post op. Not clear fluids but full fluids including protein. We each should be following the post op plan put in place by your Dr. As each post op plan differs greatly.

    2nd Day Post-Op

Yes the gas pain is no joke. You can try the gas x strips. But walking is the best way to get it to move. Try walking each hour. Even a short distance will provide some release hope you feel better soon.

    Day 5

My doctor said we should not be drinking plan water. Try some propel, G2 or power aid zero. You will never get pass the dehydration on plan water. I even did full Gatorade till day 7 that was all that helped.
