Last night and so far today water hurts to drink. Not. A good nights sleep either. Every 30-45 minutes someone was in doing something or some box was being obnoxious. Still having gas pain, done several laps around the floor, but to go for another set. Anyone had to do that breathing exercise?

Surgery is today! So freaked out right now I’m sitting in the staging area waiting to be called. This anti nausea patch has me light headed and a sever case of dry mouth.

Intro time: who's new to the group, who's pre-op, & who just recently made it to the loser's bench?

Pre-Op but surgery is next Tuesday. I'm pumped up with excitement, my 2 week liquid diet has me down by 30 pounds and feel so mush better. Yet I read horror stories on the post-op recovery. I'm praying for a smooth recovery, yet preparing myself for far less than smooth! -

Aran1030, around here people are taking off in the area of 1-2 weeks, sometimes longer based on your type of work. I'm personally hoping for 2 weeks. It really depends on your surgeon, talk to him about the time frame and what works best for you and your situation. -
My Experience 7 days of Liquid Diet
918C14Ryder posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Few thoughts on my 7 days of liquid diet. Its scary at first, but you will be ok. Drink lots of water and take walks If you drink coffee like me, 3-4 cups a day you will need to back off before you start the liquid diet I had a headache for 3 days, day 1 was real bad but got better each day I dropped 2-4 pounds a day Biggest day was 4.5 That day I was most active and most hungry What got me through the first few days was thinking of eating again. Crazy right! I was searching for high protein low carb recipes, fun things I could eat and still keep on track Lots of cool and great ideas posted, so don’t despair. On the plus side I lost 20 pounds in 6 days You will have moments where you want to scarf, but you will work through it. Each day goes by the stronger you get. -

Howdy Kiddos! I'm scheduled for the 12. Starting to freak out a bit. On the plus side I've lost 20 pounds in 6 days on the liquid diet. That's a huge motivator! My Pre-op is next Monday and I'll get my surgery time then. I so hope its in the morning. Less time to stress out. -
Well I survived my first day on the liquid diet. 4 protein shakes, 1 jello cup, a Popsicle and what feels like 5 gallons of water. I did have 2 cups of coffee. Just a few times yesterday I felt mild hungry but seriously not bad. I hope today is as good or better. Only 1 cup of decaf coffee today.

Are you using the app or on the website? I’m using the app and see the weird stuff too. -
I started this quest in May, I'm surprised it's taken this long but my surgery date is Dec 12. I start my liquid diet tomorrow. As many of you have said, I'm feeling excited and nervous at the same time.

I start my pre-op diet tomorrow as well. I like your outlook, I hadn't considered it that way. Positive way to look at it!
