Desperate Confessions.....When your mind "went there" to lose weight
Etharia replied to Creekimp13's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm in the same boat. I honestly went so far as to try to buy tape worms online but couldn't find any. -
Anyone stay on shakes for meal times longer than first couple weeks?
Etharia replied to GansettRam74's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
After my about 6-8 weeks I was able to meet my protein goals with food alone by eating high protein meats and fishes. By that time, I was also completely sick of protein shakes so I stopped using them altogether. Now, about 10 months out, I have incorporated a premier protein back into my diet occasionally for ease and quickness when it's needed. -
I seriously don't think I have restriction anymore. I have to force myself to eat on plan, which is so hard, because if I could do that consistently, I wouldn't have needed the surgery.

Thank you for the responses everyone. I told my surgeon and I am waiting on a referral to an eating disorder clinic in my area.

I used to be bulimic. I thought I was recovered. Then, this week, I started purging when I eat. I'm not overeating, I just make myself sick after eating. I'm worried I'm going to hurt my new stomach. I'm 2 months post-op. I tried to stop but it didn't work. Do you think I'm going to hurt my new stomach?

I think this is what the problem is. I'm not overeating, but I eat my one-two ounces of food and I feel FULL abd it reminds me of when I would binge and it's very triggering.

I am 4 weeks post-op today. I have been having daily headaches, usually starting in the early afternoon and lasting until I fall asleep. Tylenol doesn't help them. I'm getting my water and protein in. I don't know what may be causing them, but it seems to have started after surgery. Anyone have any tips or advice? I don't really want to spend $40 to see my doctor about it since they're not like migraine-bad, but I may need to if they don't stop.

Is this all i will lose?
Etharia replied to dgarcia27's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 4 weeks post-op tomorrow and I've been in a stall for 3 weeks, which makes me fear I'm not going to lose any more weight, but I follow a lot of people on Instagram that give me hope that my weight loss isn't done. -
I'm 4 weeks post-op tomorrow and walk about a mile a day. My surgeon says to stay at this until about 6 weeks out, when I can add in weights and other exercises.

I take liquid vitamins and they taste just fine.

I read a study on the vitamin patches that Unjury's scientists did that said that the vitamins they claim to deliver were not what tbe vitamin patches were capable of delivering.

I tried to find you on Instagram but I couldn't. My username is weightywonder, feel free to add me.

My surgeon said by 6 weeks he wants me at 800 a day so that surprises me. I haven't made it there yet but I've been on purees. I switch to soft foods today (3 weeks post-op).

How much are you eating?
Etharia replied to TooneyNinosMom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I eat about 1-2 ounces of food every 3 hours. I'm 3 weeks post-op today. -

3 weeks post-op diet suggestions
Etharia replied to XRolemodel85X's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 3 weeks post-op today and today I switched from purees to soft foods. Fish, canned chicken and turkey, ground beef (or turkey if you want), deli meat, soft and shredded cheeses, nut butters, cooked veggies, etc. -
Post op pain control with fibromyalgia.
Etharia replied to Denice66's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you on something for fibromyalgia pain like Lyrica? I use that, a tens machine, and tylenol.
