I am in need of recommendations for proper sugar free popsicle brands. You know the ones without the sugar or sugar alcohols? I have a friend shopping for me and it's hard to find the "right" sugar free as directed by my surgeon and nutritionist. Sent from my SM-N910P using BariatricPal mobile app

I know this might sound awful. I had my gastric bypass on 08-01-17 and though I can fill my pouch with protein shakes and fluids no problems, I am so tired of the same few flavors for over a week now, I'm going insane. I have marinara sauce I plan to bring to the dietician/dr appt on Friday which I want to use when I'm allowed to eat string cheese during my next phase. I couldn't stand it anymore, I had my husband bring me the cheese and sauce and I chewed and spit out out almost a whole cheese stick. I should warn that this process proved difficult because after chewing the cheese a bit it literally like melted in my mouth and I accidentally swallowed tiny particles in the process. Am I a horrible, crazy, nut job for doing this? Probably. I just wondered if it's gotten this bad with anyone else doing their best not to cheat at all. I'm still hurting post op and not ready, but I am wondering how soon was everyone released to have sex again and how did things go when you did, much pain in wound sites? Particularly the left upper side from the laproscopy? Sent from my SM-N910P using BariatricPal mobile app

No idea what true pre-surgical weight was!
Nursesmiley posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was intended to have my surgery on July 25th and my preop was scheduled for July 21st. So when my surgery was scheduled for a week later, I kept the same preop date. No wrought on day of surgery, and after doc said not to bother he'd put at least 10lbs of fluid in me since then. So I'll never know my true surgery date weight. So 2 days into a 14 day preop diet is the last I know. 412lbs. -

Read in my handbook from doctor just last night. On the odd chance you swallow it, it would completely block your pouch output and require emergency surgery. Sent from my SM-N910P using BariatricPal mobile app

Wow, you've come so far. I could wrote a book. But tale a serious minute to pat yourself on the back now on how well you've done so far! Sent from my SM-N910P using BariatricPal mobile app -
You totally should. That's what I'm doing and why, though of course, I'm not shy.

I prayed for you and all of us for tomorrow. I'm like you, many surgeries so not afraid of having surgery. I'm afraid of the buyers remorse people seem to have for like a month afterwards where they get emotional and regret their decision. I know it goes away, but that's a long time. Also, I'm on a lot of medicine and I'm concerned I won't be able to stand it crushed up due to nausea or gross taste, and I'm concerned the sheer volume of my meds won't allow room for anything else in my stomach. I know I'm already quite sick of clear liquids. I've started a vlog on youtube to document my journey, both as a personal diary and hopefully to help other people who are considering bypass or need information or possibly just need to have someone they can see taking this journey with them. If you're interested in checking it out on youtube look for Joni M. Good luck to everyone who, like me, begins their new life tomorrow.

Having my bypass on Tuesday. Clear liquid diet started today. Just wondering how anyone else is dealing with this. Sent from my SM-N910P using BariatricPal mobile app

I have a headache today too, I wonder if that's just a clear liquids thing. Self pay must be terribly difficult, but you could never make a better investment than on your own life. I just prayed for you that you will have a safe surgery without complications and will be successful in your journey.

It's actually one my doctors office males and puts out. If you find the number for Chike they have a "chicken" broth full of protein that has absolutely zero actual chicken or broth from chicken, it's made from a variety of spices and is delicious but suitable for vegetarians. Also, for me, I feel the fatigue for sure. I have a friend getting sleeved tomorrow she and I have discussed the fatigue and emotions (crying, crabby) and decided they were normal. Her preop was the most restrictive in my opinion. It was optifast shakes like 2-3 times per day and then only sugar free liquids, hello, and chicken broth. I have great info for you! I'll copy a page from my book for you.

You nervous or anything like that yet? I've been kind of emotional on this preop diet. I can't believe we're all so close. I'm excited today!

I forgot to mention my own info. I just turned 40 this month. My highest weight ever was 423. Before preop diet started I was 414. 3 days in, I'm down to 412. My goal weight is 190 or under. I'm 5'5". I forget my BMI. My diet is low carb 80-100gm or less per day, at least 60gm protein daily, low fat and 80-96 oz fluid each day. No caffeine, no carbonated beverages. 2 days before I'm on clear liquids. I'm having mine done on Kingsport, TN How about y'all?

They won't give me a time until the day before. How's everyone doing with their preop diet? What is your specific preop diet? Also what is your current weight?
