Hi Wendell! It's been a very long time since I've seen you online! I remember you from OH, some years ago! Glad to see that I can read your posts on another site - you really have some great ideas! Good to see you again!

Wendell first of all hello, what are your stats, I see your begining stuff but not any progress stuff, just curious! What area of wa. is Aberdeen? My mom lives in Maple Falls in northern wa., about 10 miles off the canadian border, will be there this summer, always willing to meet other banders! Here really is my question, was banded 3-17-09, 10.0 cc band, first fill was 4.0cc (4-13-09), I have steadily lost 3-4 lbs a week since first fill is this pretty good indication that I should put off a second fill? Or should I go ahead and fill to continue this? Thanks for advice in advance! Nancy

Wendell, I just wanted to say thank you for the most helpful and simplified version of a fill, I have read. My surgery was 2/9/2009. Other lap band patients that went before me, are complaining about no restriction, even after one or two fills. I feel just right myself. We do have the problem you mention in #1, We live in Hilo and have to fly to Honolulu for our fills, and the surgeon told one of the banders, her first fill , he was just giving her .2c/c, so as not to over fill and have her, to turn around and fly back. I'm going to pass this info along at our next Bariatric meeting. I think it would be very helpful. Kaiser in Honolulu has only been doing the Lap-Band for a couple of years now, so I am part of a pioneer group from the Big Island.

Hey Wendell,
Just wanted to stop by and drop a line and see how you were doing. Hope everything is going good in your neck of the woods. I'm doing well, new baby is healthy, and my band is back to working for me.
Like I said - I hope everything is going well for you.
