    Horror Story

No one pay attention to this poster, she was caught on another thread for being a troll. They also found fake Fundme accounts, under her name as well.

Weight loss AFTER removal of excess skin

And most insurance companies require the same as well. Before the approval of breast lift and reduction, I had to have maintained a steady weight for at least, three months.

    Can I eat this?

I love you! lol The way I see it, people ask for advice and I assume, they ask w/ the intent of getting and honest (or what is honest for the person answering) answer. We're not here to respond in ways that'll kiss your butt, we respond in ways that we can relate to and that relate to others. Yes, at the end of the day, it is an opinion. Sadly, we've come to a time where many people don't understand the base of an opinion. You find a message in an opinion or you keep it moving. I, personally, would pass up a small sucker that will put crap carbs and sugar into my body, but again, I take my WLS seriously. Either we have discipline or we don't. We need to help those who are actually making an attempt to try and not those who live by "Hey, I'm going through something, one bite will not hurt". Oh, trust me, it will.
  5. I love PB2, but I find it's hard to mix. Do you get powered protein or do you use a liquid? I'm not big on mixing shakes, do you add those ingredients w/ just ice?

    Soups After Surgery

I really wish soup didn't fill me up as soon as I start eating it, I usually remove the liquid and just eat the meat and veggies. Drab! lol

Weight loss AFTER removal of excess skin

This is a great question, I'm getting my breast lift and reduction next month. I believe, as long as you're close to goal, you'll be okay. How close to goal, are you?

    Soups After Surgery

That sounds delicious, w/ still being in the beginning phase, are you speaking about a broth?

    Can I eat this?

Question is, is it worth it? Just as someone said, you can eat whatever you want, for most of us, that's how we got to the point where the surgery was needed. The consequences, you have to live with. I'd much rather live with the successes of saying no to such things.

    2nd Day Post-Op

You know, to be honest, I didn't have the gas issue after the surgery other than an occasional pain or two. Not too long ago, I was in so much pain and I finally decided to chew a Gas-X and lay on my side. WHAT?! GIRL, I feel your pain. It will get better, we promise!

    Can I eat this?

You need to change your habits and try to really focus on that, your mind shouldn't immediately go to this. Are you able to eat pork rinds w/ hot sauce?
  12. Two weeks prior to my WLS, I was on the South Beach Phase 1 diet. Has anyone done the same, and if so, are you still somewhat following the same regimen?

    South Beach Diet Phase 1

Seriously!!!! I never thought about that, the Premiere pop sounds delicious and is the perfect way to get in additional protein. 5 weeks = Your stalls. That makes perfect sense!!!!!

    Applebee's?

That may not be the best choice, what other options do they have? The last time I was there, I was post-op and that was almost two years ago. I'll go check out their menu, as well.

Cut Calories and Excercise and no weight loss

I apologize for the delay, I thought I was following this thread. At this point, I'll add cucumbers, a sprinkle of cheese, and a protein (Chicken or Shrimp). I use baby spinach, very seldom will I use ice burg. I can only get in a few bites, and I'm done. At this point, I get salads I know will not wilt and can be eaten as other meals. I used to love them so dang much

    Applebee's?

They have a great healthy, no cal/low carb menu. I haven't been there in a bit, but I used to get the beef w/ steamed veggies.

    South Beach Diet Phase 1

I almost caved last night, I know my Dr. said I can have a little piece of chocolate...BUT...I'd rather not tempt myself and in turn, set myself up for failure. I bought sugar free pops and sugar free pudding, and that hit the spot. I wish they had mini-pop's, it takes a long time to finish one popsicle and I usually end up throwing it out.

    Soups After Surgery

Actually, I'm almost two years out. For some reason, it can take a day and a half to eat a bowl of chili, but hey, I'm not the one to complain. Have you tasted the chili from Jason's Deli?

    South Beach Diet Phase 1

No, I think you doing it is great. Have you found yourself losing a decent amount of weight while being on it, I lost a decent amount of weight prior to the surgery while using this diet. I'm really thinking about getting back on the SB wagon, one week out of the month, I go insanely "Coo Coo for carbs and chocolate", mode. Yikes!!!

    Opioid Malabsorption

The weight gain is said to be for the long-term users. Unless it's a "end of life/cancer " issue and w/ seeing the impact opioids is now having, I'd rather not see it used long term.
