    Cigna Insurance Approval

This is so encouraging to hear that so many with Cigna were approved so quickly! I also have Cigna and have been really anxious about how long it will take them to approve. I was supposed to have my 4th (and final) NUT appointment today to get my clearance so they could submit to insurance, but my coordinator called Mon. and told me I'd have to have my final NUT appointment on or after July 28th in order for it to meet insurance requirements. So frustrating! Now I have to wait until July 31st (when my final NUT appt is now) before they can even submit to insurance! I'm on a tight timeline because in addition to working full-time, I also attend graduate school. Classes start back on August 28th and I've got to drive 90 mins to get there. So I've got to have surgery by August 21st at the very latest. Still, that's optimistic considering I'd only be one week post-op. Just hoping it all works out. Pre-op diet starts today would love advice

If you don't mind my asking, how do you feel now that you're on day 8? Still hungry? I can't fathom how everyone isn't drowning in fatigue after day 2!

    Insurance Approval ?!

I've worked in healthcare for nearly 14 years and am now on the corporate side. You're right on point with this - It's all about outcomes. My insurance company (Cigna) only requires that I don't gain any weight above what I weighed on my initial consult. Other than that, no weight restrictions from the hospital or practice. I'm having surgery with the company that I work for, by the way. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Losing relationships

I haven't had surgery yet (next month!) but I work in healthcare and am surrounded by women. Some are great and really supportive, which is how it should be, after all. I mean, we ARE in health care! But unfortunately, I have also seen how some react when other colleagues have had significant weight loss (via surgery or other means) and I'm dreading it. Hang in there. I think the people who continue to support you and cheer you on are the ones who are your true friends. I'd say just think of the others like the weight you're losing - just excess baggage that's keeping you down!

    Need Encouragement! -pre op diet

Hi there! Glad to hear you're feeling a "little" better now that you're at day 3! I haven't started the liquid diet yet - still waiting on my surgery date - but I'm more anxious about 2 weeks with NO solid food than I am about surgery! I'm curious about the "milk diet." What does your surgeon say this will do vs. just a liquid diet? Benefits?
