I haven't really ever been a thin child and I had an eating disorder as a teenager but I was generally a healthy(ish) young person. Then when I was nineteen I got into a really abusive relationship with an older man, which triggered both my depression and food issues, I gained over a hundred pounds in less than six months (though we were together three years) then when I was able to get myself out of that relationship I got really sick, and was diagnosed with PCOS, so weight then became worse and I have been on a diet roller coaster for years. I recently turned twenty seven and I do not want to turn thirty in a body that I cannot trust to survive being thirty. I'm pretty scared of the realities about myself I will have to face with this journey, but Im really excited to finally feel like I have a leg up on what has felt like a losing battle for the past seven years.
