  1. Hi Everyone.I am day 5 post op and feeling very discouraged right now.I weighed myself this morning and I gained apound.I only had 500 calories yesterday. Is this common?Has this happened to anybody else?I didn't think it was possible for the scale to move the wrong way this soon after surgery.

You're welcome hon. I'll pave the way for you, if you'd like. :) I'm 8 weeks post now...it's been a blast. I don't weigh myself though, so I never know, but my post op appts have been very good. Just hang in there and follow your instructions. You will do well!

Newme17 I wish I could not look at the scale but the temptation gets the best of me.I did put on a pairof jeans today. They are a little loose. Not majorely loose but they used to be tight so that is encouraging.I am going to try to go by my clothes and not the scale. How are you doing 8 weeks out.Is it hard to keep loosing weight once you are back to solid food?I will have to get tips from you when I get to that point.Thank you for your encouragement!

Honestly, I don't give much thought to how much I'm losing these days. I just make sure I listen to my body when it's truly hungry) and make sure I don't overeat. I'll for sure feel it and feel gross if I do. I wait until my post op appts for my numbers, but until then, I do measure with how my clothes fit, etc. You will be surprised with your measurements more than the scale number, so just keep at it. Follow your plan and you will have your results. Don't worry if ya not coming off as fast as you'd like. I've excised that as long as the numbers go down, then I'm happy. 😊 Hang in here!!!
