I could have written this post! 5'1" starting weight 194 at surgery 8-21-17. Same comorbidities. The weight comes off much slower for us lower start weights. But the measurements are changing and so is the weight! I'm at 157 today. I'm hoping to get between 130-140 as a goal. I feel really good and am starting to exercise again, something I wasn't able to do for awhile.

I haven't been able to drink as much as you but I still haven't had any pain from eating or drinking. Of course, I am only about 16 days out so maybe I just haven't eaten anything that would cause pain. Did you have any physical reaction to the hand roll? I have heard that rice can be painful. I feel like some of what I am experiencing as hunger is acid reflux but I don't know!. I am loosing weight though and a pretty good rate so what I am trying to do is keep my eye on the prize. I hope that you day got better.

I'm on protonix and I have been taking two Zantac. I don't have heartburn but I do have that feeling of something stuck in my rib cage. I'm terrified of it not going away. I start puréed food on Monday.

Do you feel better today? I do, which really makes me think there is some (lots) of hormonal involvement. Still hungry faster than I want ...maybe because it is all fluids...but yesterday your post was just what I needed 😃

HI, why are you thinking of doing this? I am wondering just because I am so scared of the acid reflux that I seem to be getting with my sleeve. Thanks

I got my sleeve on the 21st. I am feeling like I wish that I didn't do it either. I am hungry and so tired. I am so worried about GERD. I have my post op appointment on Thursday.

I had my sleeve done on Aug 21 and returned to work today, the 28th. I have a desk job but I think it would have been better to wait a few more days. I'm exhausted!

Today has been a tough day! I have been really questioning...did I do the right thing? And hearing that you are having some of the same symptoms makes me feel ENORMOUSLY better. I took a Zantac 150 mg this am, then my previously prescribed protonix. I'm going to take another Zantac before bed. I'm supposed to see the doc on Thursday but if these meds don't work better tomorrow, I'm going to call on Monday.

Thanks for this post! I am 5 days post op and can drink water with no problems and I am feeling hungry. This thread made me feel much better, like I didn't just have a major operation for nothing. Please keep good thoughts for me!

I'm a 50 year old mother of 5,scheduled for August 21st, just 5 days after I drop my "baby" off at college. I'm really excited. Just joined this forum.
