Ok now that scares me..they better not cancel on me for my surgery. I had to take time off of work and they had to set up someone to cover for me for the 2 weeks I will be off from the day of surgery. That will screw everything up if it gets cancelled. How often does this happen??

My doctor said I can swallow all my meds after surgery that I didnt have to crush any of them. I'm on Atenolol, Topomax, Citalapram and Chantix. They are all smaller pills. Thank God I don't have to crush those things ughhhh

Newbie here..surgery on April 7th with Dr. Marley in Windber. On the countdown....hello fellow western pa'ers

I'm from Windber and also having my surgery by Dr. Marley on April 7th. I am on the preop diet now and I am a bit hungry but I think I am more sick from the milk mixed with the carnation instant breakfast so I went and bought some of the slimfast shakes and we will see how that goes. Getting a bit nervous as surgery date gets closer. And I agree with you guys on Marley and his staff they are wonderful. He even gets my weird sense of humor hee hee. Jackie is the bomb and wrote such sweet love letters to my insurance company that my surgery was approved with no problems Love that girl. Good luck to everyone.

My surgery date is scheduled for April 7th. Any one else the same day?? I'm on my preop diet now. Getting nervous as the days tick away and it draws closer. But excited in the same sense. Cant wait to see the new me come out. :teeth_smile:

I just want to bitch cuz after I have this surgery I am gonna have to buy all new clothes..geesh..is there a secret closet for sexy mamma clothes out there somewhere hee hee...hey and I wanna fart rainbows too..wonder if that tickles LOL

I had that problem with my belly button incision when I had my gallbladder out. Believe me it will heal when left out to the air. u just might have more of a scar there when it does heal. Just keep an eye on it for infection. I hope when I have my surgery done mine heal ok.

Well it is day 4 and i am still alive on this preop diet. Trying to stick to it and not cheat. The carnation instant breakfast drinks are not that bad but I think by the end of this I am gonna hate chocolate milk. When dinner time rolls around I get so excited cuz I can eat real food. Is that sad or what. But we are doing good. Lets hope the next 10 days go better.

The not drinking with ur meals is gonna be the hard part for me

I am on day 3 of my pre surgery diet. And I am hungryyyyyyyy!!! But I want this more then anything so I will suffer thru. My doctor has u on a two week diet prior. 2 shakes a day..i drink mine for breakfast and lunch and a 350 calorie low carb high protien dinner. My shakes are the sugar free carnation instant breakfast..just cant stand the slimfast ones YUCK

I had my gallbladder out laproscopically. Has anyone on here also had there gallbladder removed and is the pain following the surgeries compare. It wasnt too bad of a recovery for me from the gallbladder. My surgery date is set for April 7th and I am off of work for 2 weeks. Hoping I wont be dragging butt when I return to work Tracy
