  1. I was sleeved on September 19th of last year. My HW weight was 260, surgery weight was 237. I've been sitting at 195 for 3 weeks now. I've had stalls and know they're normal. This is my longest one yet though and nothing I do seems to budge it. I'm getting at least 64 oz. of water, at least 60 g of protein, and no more than 50 carbs per day. I upped my exercise from 1 mile to 2.5 and somedays 3 miles walking. I sat at 200 pounds for years before gaining those last 60. I'm starting to wonder if this is my normal weight? I'm down 4 sizes and feel better, but I really want to lose more. I'd be happy at 150, but my ultimate goal is 130. I'm barely 5'4. Anybody felt this way or been through this?

Worried I'm not going to lose any more!

I try my very best to eat less than 50 carbs a day, including starchy vegetables. So, I avoid white carbs, sweets, even beans and corn. I usually end up around 30-40 carbs a day, most of it from cheese or other dairy stuff. That was the guideline my surgeon gave me.

Well, I can definitely eat more, lol! And I will up my exercise some more as well. Would you suggest walking more, or adding some other activity plus walking?

I log everything in MFP. I don't really count calories though, as my nut told me not to worry so much about that as long as I'm getting enough protein and limiting carbs. I usually consume between 850-1000 calories per day from food, and then burn 150 or so from walking.

    September 2017 Gastric Sleeve Surgery!

Don't be too discouraged. I ended up not losing one pound on pureed. I switched to stage 3 (soft proteins) on Friday, and I've lost a pound a day ever since!

    Sleeved on September 12, 2017

I was sleeved on the 19th and am also in a stall. But visually I can tell I'm losing. We'll break out of it soon!

    September 2017 Gastric Sleeve Surgery!

I'm feeling better lately, thanks. I'm down 35 pounds total and am in sort of a stall, but I'm hoping that's ending soon. What are you guys eating during the pureed stage? I go to the next stage on Tuesday, but I'm getting a little bored with cottage cheese, yogurt and cream soups. My nut says no meats in the pureed stage. Anyone having any luck with pureed veggies though? I did try some mashed cauliflower that was great.

    September 2017 Gastric Sleeve Surgery!

I am so afraid I'm going to fail. I am down 12 pounds since surgery day, 35 overall. But I constantly craving the bad foods. Pizza, cheese, sweets, you name it. I move to stage 2 foods today and I'm hoping that just having something more substantial to eat will help. But I'm terrified that once I can eat other foods I won't be able to stop myself.

My weight was down 4 pounds yesterday, but back up 3 pounds this morning. I cried. I saw a Red Lobster commercial for endless shrimp last night. I cried. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!

    September 2017 Gastric Sleeve Surgery!

Sept, 19th here, so I'm a week post-op. I'm down 8 lbs. since surgery day, 31 pounds overall since starting the process. Soreness is easing up tremendously, I went back to work yesterday at my desk job. I'm getting all my fluids and proteins, but that's like a full-time job! I do want food though. I'm not hungry, I just keep having short cravings for something, especially carbs like pizza and pasta. That's funny to me, because I really didn't eat those much pre-op.

    September 2017 Gastric Sleeve Surgery!

I start liquids tomorrow too, surgery on Tuesday. I'm worried about getting through the liquid part, as mostly about being put to sleep. Everything else is done, I'm just waiting now.

    September 2017 Gastric Sleeve Surgery!

Hey everybody! I'm a September 19th sleever. I'll be having mine with Dr. Cauthen at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. I'm so excited! My husband has his sleeve done this past Thursday, and has done tremendously well. No pain meds since 5 pm on Saturday, he's getting in all his fluids and protein and walking over a mile per day! I hope I bounce back the way he has!
  14. I love your posts! I am scheduled for VSG on September 19th as well!
