Weight watcher after 1 1/2 years

Weight watchers is great for accountability, weigh ins, and learning good information about exercise and health. You will need to modify the program though. I actually go to meetings but I do use calories instead of the freestyle program.
  2. What did you do to lose that much? That is awesome. I want to be similar!

Any June 2018 Sleevers in Here?!

I am nervous today! I hope it goes well and I'm not too sick!
  4. I don't do well on a low carb/keto diet. I am willing to change what I eat but would like to go healthy vegan. Is that possible after the sleeve? Any vegans here? I don't mind supplementing with a plant-based protein for life if that is a question you all have!

    surgery in four days

I am too. I'm nervous that I'll be a failure. My surgery date is the 11th. As far as what to bring, just normal hospital stuff. Some people recommended gas pills, dry mouth mouthwash, comfy clothes, stuff like that!

Do you have to do low carb/Keto?

Yes, kandywolf, that was my plan. I want to get off all the white/ unhealthy, and sugar/fat based carbs and try to have healthy whole grains, fruits, vegetables, vegan protein powder, and maybe sometimes meat/dairy substitutes. I don't have any problems with stevia but do with some other sugar substitutes.

Do you have to do low carb/Keto?

Thanks you guys. I have to supplement protein anyway because I am not a big fan of meat or dairy. I prefer dairy free. I was wondering because I knew I couldn't live with or stick to low carb or keto long term. I had heard protein and veggies first so thought I had to stick to a diet like the preop diet which I'm really struggling with. I don't feel satisfied at all.
  8. Its totally normal to stall or gain while losing weight. You can be doing everything perfect and it happens. Don't worry. Ups and downs are a normal part of weight loss. It happened to me when I was working at weight loss before, especially when you are losing fast, ups and downs happen.
  9. I learned a few days ago that my surgery will be June 11th. I am scared and excited. I hope it works.

    TMI but need advice...

If its a lactose issue you could try a plant or meat or egg protein powder! I actually prefer plant protein powders. Theres all different kinds. I am not a fan of whey protein powder.
  14. I just had my information sent to insurance. I should find out if I am approved and have a date soon. I am excited!
  15. I just have two more weigh-ins for the supervised diet, the psych eval, an upper GI study and the recommendation from my doctor. I am not scared of surgery except wondering if I can handle so much less food. ive lost 20 lbs so far during my supervised diet. They said it takes a while to be approved and get into surgery so probably May.
  16. I am hoping to get the sleeve in May. It's exciting to hear from some other people who are too!

Bmi of 34 how to proceed?

Have you ever thought of just going the weight loss medication route or something similar? You really don't have that much weight to lose and I lost 60 lbs using phentermine the first time. This is major surgery and you are only 195. Oh, I also exercised like mad.
