    Pizza

It's been 10 months since my surgery and I will l not touch pizza. Sometimes if my family has pizza I'll just eat some of the cheese off a piece. Pizza is not my friend. Looks good tho!
  2. yes, this surgery has liberated me from food (for now). Although I do find myself tempted to resort to food for comfort lately. That's why I think it is very important to have therapy. This is a big change for us in many many ways.

    Post-OP Mixed Emotions

It does get better! I have no regrets! I'm 8 months in and I've lost over 100 lbs! i used the time to think about my relationship with food. Food is not my friend but it is also not my enemy. The day I was allowed solid foods, though, was a GREAT DAY. I have found a new appreciate for scrambled eggs.
  4. I think a discussion is in order. Communicating is important in any relationship and important to the trust which ultimately facilitates intimacy. Don't worry it will work out. P.S. would love a follow up on this post!
  5. I just had my first two week stall. I know I should exercise but I don't always. I have been doing some Richard Simmons old youtube videos; dance your pants off. lol. I don't do it as frequently as I should. I did, however, increase my small meals (having like 5 or six small meals a day - high protein).
  6. Well, it was my instinct to keep my surgery a secret. Not sure why, I guess I was afraid of feeling judged. I had a cousin who had the sleeve and she told me in confidence. She would post her weight loss on facebook, but never acknowledged that she had surgery. I respect her stand, but I decided to be public with this journey! I'm not ashamed to take control of my life (finally) and I'm certain I made the best decision for me! I want to share my experience in case someone else is considering this option. It was a (unnecessary) struggle for me to make the decision to have weight loss surgery. Honestly, looking back this is a no brainer! It's been exactly two months (today) since my surgery and my only regret is that I didn't do this years ago!!!! I'm over 40 lbs down and feel excited, optimistic, and motivated. I'm looking forward to flying (no extender needed) riding roller coasters again, maybe trying snowboarding/skiing, and all the other things I wouldn't even try because I was just too heavy!
