  1. Wondering if the Keto diet is a good idea,  any thoughts?

I went on the Keto diet before my surgery. It worked well for me. Keto isn’t good for long term but it does work. My son, who is fit, goes on a Keto diet periodically and does well.

On the Keto the first few weeks are the hardest because your body needs to get used to the big reduction in carbs. But once you get past that it’s much easier. I reached the point where the carb craving was gone. I felt like I ate well and I was losing. I bought keto sticks at the pharmacy so I could see if I was in ketosis - which is what you want. Overall, I liked it. As I mentioned above, I would not do it long term which is why I still needed to get sleeved.

So, it may be an option for you.

I just noticed it looks like you are already sleeved... is that right? If so, I wouldn’t do Keto. You would need to stick with the diet your Dr / medical team recommend. Keto wouldn’t be healthy once you are sleeved.

My plan looks stunningly similar to Keto almost no carbs except lower in fat, I'm basically just eating protein so all of the recipes I search for are Keto, that's why I'm asking if anyone is in a similar position because plans vary greatly by surgeon
