Oh, Just Another Plastics Story pt 2
GreenTealael replied to GreenTealael's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Plastics update! It’s been so long I forgot about these threads Mood: Happy Current weight:154 (no measurements as I can’t find my tape measure) I’m still very happy with my outcomes but obviously I see little things I want fixed. I would love more fat grafting to my behind and some scar revisions as most of my scars became hypertrophic (I knew the risk and it was still worth it - I just need to have them revised at some point) I think that happens to many people post plastics. Plastics is probably just the next rabbit hole. videos of this years swim suit and showing scars (WLS and plastics) FullSizeRender.mov FullSizeRender.mov -
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Whaaaaaaaat? Me too? That's right 😅 I decided to go ahead and (silently) have plastics done. This mommy had a makeover yesterday and is very happy with the results so far. Still very early in my recovery but I wanted to document as much as I could before I forgot. Procedures: Mommy Makeover (breast lift w/o implants and extended tummy tuck with lipo of sides) Where: Miami baby! Southbeach body here I come 😜 Why: the usual reasons... I've been thinking about it forever and finally took the plunge When: Jan 03, 2020 Still early out and I'm pretty laid up so ill update when I can! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

Hey! Revision(ist), I want to hear from you! Tell me your experience: revision in June. Nervous
GreenTealael replied to nikki19rl's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
GERD is completely resolved. I have maintained my weightloss but I can lose unintentionally if I eat “clean”. I never lost hair with any surgery (but I took L-Lysine, do a bit of research if you’re curious) It wasn’t painful. It was done laparoscopically and I had a pain management plan ahead of time. Good Luck ❤️ -

Sleeved Nov 2017 then Revised July 2019 (for GERD, hernia, sleeve torsion etc) Almost immediately after no more issues with GERD. I developed a stricture early out but it was dilated and resolved. I initially lost more weight (around 15lbs) but it wasn’t where I or my surgeon wanted me to be so I gained it back. My weight may fluctuate a few lbs on either side of my goal but that is usually due to events I wasn’t hungry immediately after surgery but that’s normal for me, hunger returned and it was no big deal as I had already had a return on hunger a year before with VSG. Some people (myself included) have a experienced a change in restriction from VSG to RNY (less, more or different restriction) I actually had an easier recovery with the revision. It was a short learning curve with new bathroom habits. Overall very satisfied. -

Cleaning up diet Pre Surgery
GreenTealael replied to DareMightyThings's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I removed additional sugar. Naturally sweet things like fruit I ate occasional but I gave up any sugar that I had to add my myself and switched over to a substitute (stevia). It was tough at first but it helped to practice it for a longer period instead of fighting against it because it was too sudden. -

One month tomorrow and haven’t lost a pound in three weeks
GreenTealael replied to ramirezchana's topic in Food and Nutrition
FYI: At only a month post op, not many of us are allowed to eat sandwiches (according to post op diet plans) You are still early out so there’s a chance your restrictions with kick in eventually, or rather you’ll recognize what it feels like sooner Don’t give up! -
Passed My Psych Evaluation
GreenTealael replied to DareMightyThings's topic in Insurance & Financing
Insurance company timelines are all over the place when it comes to approvals. I think the normal length seems to be 2-4 weeks after submitting. After about 2 week I probably would call insurance directly to check but that’s because I’m impatient 😂 -
