Congratulations! -
Well then crunch the numbers with your surgeon (costs, outcomes, risks, etc) and choose the best. After all you want the best option for your money (present and future)

Ok, I thought so. TBH the only time I have seen re-sleeves posts, people are usually self paying. I don’t think insurance will even cover them. Do you know if insurance will cover SADI?

Want to know a secret: I don’t love food. IDK if I ever did as I look through some of these post and think, “Does everyone eat this many different foods?!? Or when my kids joke about me eating tea again for dinner (I do love drinking 🤣) But also please don’t torture yourself by looking if you are struggling ❤️ Check out the research on hedonic hunger: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedonic_hunger https://www.webmd.com/diet/story/hedonic-hunger-and-why-we-cant-stop-eating https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6009994/#:~:text=The term 'hedonic hunger' refers,of this construct in 2009. -

Did your surgeon explain why he thought a re sleeve would be appropriate/help? Was there any mention of RNY bypass? Are you self paying or going through insurance? Let us know how it goes!

I was inspired by this post to buy one!!! I still haven’t cooked it. What’s your favorite method? -
Now is the time to raise these concerns and questions with your surgeon and come up with a plan moving forward. Ask for average loss expectancy in their practice, if you’re on target and what is their plan for patients with below average loss. Don’t let them tell you to just wait and see how it turns out. Ask for a plan with amendments such as medications. Good luck

Thank you! You don’t want to know how frustrated my boyfriend was as I played both art director and model 🤣

It’s really hard to imagine the scale of the Grand Canyon until you see it in person. If you can make it, I highly recommend it. I actually don’t miss the leggings because they were not flattering (although super comfortable) and I washed and wore them thread bare. Also I’ve replaced them with “ I 🩷 my boyfriend” pajamas. I can only imagine that my neighbors are tired of seeing me garden with “🩷🤍🩷🤍” all over my a$$.

Question for post op surgery and matcha
GreenTealael replied to Elizabeth Miller's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
^^^ This too! -
I was on a Grand Canyon and other national parks road trip, big fun. I had to look up hen party! It’s the first time I’ve heard the term and I love it. Don’t feel guilty @Arabesque I also have items I have never worn (tags still on) even though my wardrobe is minimal. How’s that even possible?!?! Well I recently binned my favorite leopard lounge pants (that I should have never owned 🤣) because they started to become my uniform. Need eggs and milk? No problem I’ll go get it…

Question for post op surgery and matcha
GreenTealael replied to Elizabeth Miller's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
There are so many different studies on the effects of caffeine on weight loss outcomes, but I cannot find anything specific to our population. Maybe someone else has a resource to share. As for the restrictions, usually the warning is that caffeine is a diuretic and appetite suppressant. That can seriously impact hydration early on. But every program is different, mine didn’t particularly care if you had coffee/tea but you couldn’t count it towards hydration. Here’s an interesting (mouse) study on matcha and it’s effects on obesity (through the liver gut axis) https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/nutrition/articles/10.3389/fnut.2022.931060/full Anecdotally I’ve never stopped consuming tea (including matcha) but I was never asked to, thank goodness 😅 -
The only two outfits that I managed to get pics in while on vacation. Black high neck bodycon maxi, macramé fringed shawl, granny square boat neck sweater & tiered dress. I’ve worn these many times in but I try to wear them in different ways. Anyone else working a capsule wardrobe? Staple items? Favorite style?
