    Does Everyone Have Problems

Only slow down when both you and your surgeon are completely comfortable. Alot of people experience a bounce back of weight gain for various reasons once they are far enough out. You may want to go as low as possible to give yourself some room to grow... That's my plan...
  2. For me it feels like a small lump in my throat that one can't swallow away... I learned to stop right before I get there

Help My Hair is falling out

Not a popular choice but minoxidil ( found in rogaine ) will stop it for a while... I asked my dermatologist . Other promising treatments is L-Lysine (essential amino acid) ...
  6. There are a couple of vegan vegetarian forums on here. Give it a search. I highly recommend speak with your NUT before making changes.

    Fifth appointment done

Super exciting! I highly recommend upping your water (pure) intake from now until surgery to 64 oz and above. It will help you adjust to the necessary habit so you'll struggle less with that after surgery.
  8. Sugar was a problem for me and I had to literally just not buy it. Just don't buy is easy to say but it's hard to fight that battle I know... but it just may be the only solution. And best to fight it prior to surgery Try a stair step approach and sub out sugars until you aren't using anymore. I bought zing which is half sugar half Stevia and gradually went full Stevia. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

    Drinking water without issue

Not everyone will have trouble drinking. I didn't. Surgeon still recommended I don't drink fast because it trains your new stomach to empty too quickly. Go at the recommended pace and you'll do great

I may have swallowed a seed

Not likely if it's a tiny strawberry seed, but watch how you are feeling to keep track.

    3 Week Post-op Plateau?

Stalls happen to just about all of us. My NUT suggests to evaluate things (cals water fiber proteins) only if they last longer than a three weeks ...

    Disappointed Post-Op By Pass

Have you meet with your surgeon or NUT recently ? Only 6lbs in 2 months is very suspicious... What are your bowel movements like? How many oz of water are you drinking? What are your protein sources? How many carbs per day? Do you use a food diary like myfitness pal? How often do you weigh yourself? Are you measuring your inches? Are you just stalled instead of stopped ?
  16. Protein bars and shakes hidden in every bag or pocket, can't forget them if they are always there. And high cal high protein shake once in a while depending on your needs...
  17. Very much apples to oranges... Pregnancy is like rapid a gain of weight that is centralized. But it doesn't stop there because it forces every organ in your torso to contort, shuffle, squeeze by and make way for the new life. You'll be uncomfortable with no way to fix it, you'll pee yourself if you cough hard enough. This hunger will truly be out of your control, and to Lose THIS weight you have to work VERY hard for a couple of life altering hours and no matter how tired you are you can't take a water break. And in about 13 years you'll ask this beautiful life how was their day and they just say fine...

Do you feel you did the right thing

You'll never feel the way you use to... And it's kinda the point . You'll have to exercise longer to feel winded You'll forget why you used to over eat You'll finally start peeking on the juniors size side of the store (oops that's me) You'll start arguing with food labels questioning why so much sugar (seriously why? It's just yogurt) You'll take way too many selfies from all your new found good angles You'll forget what being heavy feels like You may even forget you ever felt any regrets...

    Methadone maintenance and gastric sleeve

Please consult the surgical group. Usually this is something they address with a pharmaceutical clinician (correct me if I'm wrong) to hammer out all of these details before surgery so you know exactly what to expect.
  20. Not a smoker so I can't relate. But it's really tough I've watched plenty of family and friends try to give it up. Some succeed some don't. What I did notice was the successful ones felt like the choice was theirs so they had a level of control over the process. They didn't feel backed into a corner by society. I'm no therapist but perhaps that's the place to start. And if there's still time perhaps other non patch pharma help . Or stair stepping down with ecigs as the above poster mentions. Do you have time for something like that? What is your surgery target month?
