    RN twelve hour shifts

Pockets on the scrub shirt one with 8 oz bottle of water (sip before you enter every room and after you exit ) The other pocket with string cheese, and a protein bar or jerky

    Hair loss & itchy scalp

    Already? Since before surgery?

Constipation to the max - two a&e visits

Anyone tried stevia, or splenda (both know to cause diarrhea in large doses)? When I feel backed up I add some to tea (like 6 packets) and within 3 hrs I'm completely cleared. But consult physicians first
  4. I was notoriously cold prior to surgery, now not so much. It varies from person to person

I don't miss food nearly as much as I thought I would, I only feel a pang of longing when I'm at the movies and smell the popcorn

    Halo top ice cream

I got it from Walgreen's pharmacy but I have seen it in Walmart too.

Yogurt yes, Mostly Greek yogurt is recommended because of the protein count. Fro-Yo, I'm not sure when you can add that

    Eating more :(

Sadly they aren't as fulfilling as peanuts and tree nuts. It's the fatty oils and size I think...

    November sleevers here

Finally came off a 2 week stall, I was 199 now 194. No rhyme or reason to my stalls at all. I don't weigh myself at home, I only trust the scales at the physicians offices.

    Halo top ice cream

Thanks I changed what I ate well before surgery and so the only thing I had to give up was bread and seltzer water. I don't eat junk foods but I wanted an ice-cream alternative to keep around because realistically I'm going to eat it again at some point during the summer and I wanted to try it out at home instead of outside incase I reacted weirdly to it. This one interested me because it has a higher protein amount and chicory in it (which has a fibrous laxative effect on me ) I don't eat refined sugar gave those up a year ago but I still eat raw honey, stevia, pure maple syrup, cacao, dark chocolate etc and have no plans on giving them up because this is my diet for life and my NUT has helped me worked them into my plan

I did not use this surgeon however I was told that there is no mandatory waiting period with this insurance, it will depend on how fast you move through all the preop appts and how quickly the surgeon submits a claim for approval. I had VSG in about 5 months, it could have been quicker but I was away for about 2.5 months

OK its going to depend totally on your plan, but in full liquids I was allowed to have yogurt and thinned out cream of wheat. Did you receive a booklet or any literature about the diet?

You're no alone The waist pouches cost about $10 and if you need sleep don't skimp on that. Try to work out at home. I bought a jump rope and I do it right in my living room. You can do this!

Do you wear an apron with pockets similar to other restaurant workers? If so pack ziplock bags of nuts cheese Jerky boiled eggs and Protein Bars, keep them with you at all times. If not try to get a waist pouch (usually travellers and runners wear these) and pack a few things in there especially Protein bars or protein fruit pouches (usually for children )Its going to take some careful planning but it's worth it.
