    November sleevers here

I'm also starting to notice my hair shedding and tenderness but I have LONG locs and ALOT of hair so I'm hoping to survive this , sounds vain but I like my hair [emoji22] Also hair progress pic I hope I'm imagining my thinning hair... But probably not
  5. Trust the knowledge of your surgeon, GERD has been know to get worse with VSG but cured with RNY (not always a rule though) If it gets worse you may need a revision

2 weeks vsg post op & only lost 17 pounds

    A) work daily towards that goal , not everyone can meet it right away the scale can bounce around so look for NSV like lost inches C) I use alarms and timers on my phone or I would never know when I can transition D) some say it's there new full warning E) Everyone worries bit as long as you don't have complications (which you should tell your surgeon immediately) you should be fine Safe journey and Congrats on -17lbs That's a victory

    Vegan protein?

Hemp hearts are seed based and should not cause a reaction (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

    Does the Nose know?

Sadly I didn't get the new alarm system [emoji25]
  9. I stall all the time, it's my new normal and I had to realize that weightless is not always a straight line downward like I would have hoped, but the benefit I keep hearing is it gives your skin time to catch up and shrink with you Be patient and stick to your plan
  10. Any major hair loss / issues?
  11. By that point post op it heavily depends on your tolerance of pain and your energy levels If you have zero complications and a high threshold for pain you will be fine just maybe a little nauseous and very tired. You may want to consider letting your husband drive so that you'll have enough energy for the event I was wiped out all there at that point because of the amount of energy y body needed to heal plus the deficit caused by the restricted diet , I could only drive for about 10 mins at a time before i felt like I needed a nap. Enjoy Comicon! I hope the Firefly panel is there ...

    Extra sweet taste buds

Yes I think everything is too sweet now Especially the protein shakes and cookies
  13. There is plenty of research that suggests that sugar is addictive, and like any other addiction you have to detox from it to beat it. Cravings don't always go away because some are mental and some are physiological. Maybe going back to basic may help alleviate the cravings. Have you tried eliminating refined sugars and settling for lower amounts of natural ones yet? I believe kicking the sugar habit is totally doable! Safe journey

    Craving a sandwich/wrap

Have you tried lettuce as a wrap alternative ? People seem to love it Also in the early stages of post op I came up with a biscuit alternative made from home made oat flour and protein powder worked well as a burger bun DM me if you want the recipe

    Life after keto

I was doing a Keto like diet (was not hitting the fat goals) then I went on vacation and it was shot to hell So I'm doing a low carb plan but nothing like before. I didn't notice any gained weight as a result of the switch however I am in the early months of post surgery my body seems to enjoy the fruits and vegetables more than the proteins (I was a vegetarian prior to surgery anyways) but I'm still being careful to keep rice bread and the likes out of my diet.
  16. Thank you You are far too kind!

    Massive gut not shrinking

I Hope so I'm gonna need it !
  18. I'm not a runner (unless being chased or to a flight I'm late for) It does not make me feel good like it does for some and my knees quietly thank me but I just had an epiphany when I realized that running is an easier way to make the miles pass faster on the treadmill so I can do other workouts like much needed squats. I definitely will alternate running and walking But Im kind of mad I just figured it out But I probably could have never done it prior to surgery anyway... Anyone else had a eureka exercise moment?

    Special treats

    Oooo I'm definitely trying this
  20. Gave most of my clothes to friends or charity, my goal was to get out of plus size clothing and when I was able to fit into a xl I was happy. A couple of weeks ago I bought a size m dress which now fits but the kicker is today I fit into a pair of size 13 fashion nova jeans that my niece was trying to give me! Craziness

    Massive gut not shrinking

It may have to do with where you carry the most weight... I carry a lot of weight in my chest and that's reducing slowly but my shape is still the same presurgery just smaller I hear sculpting the body through Weight training is one option to reshape your body
