    Near death experience

I did not have one with surgery However My near death experience (car accident) left me with more questions than answers and a fear of leaving loved ones behind to sort my affairs So prior to surgery I did it all myself No clue if there is a right or wrong way to go through it but I hear therapy helps

    Spouse of a WLS patient

I think the balance occurs when it's not all about one person He may need to come to grips with you needing to eat also and excusing himself from the room sometimes The burden CANNOT be all yours Amazing of you to be the super support system but don't forget about yourself

Tempted to consume less protein shakes.

It may be that specific protein shake that is not agreeing with you , try a few other options...

    Having surgery next week...

I have the sleeve and I can still experience dumping [emoji22] It's never a hard and fast rule with this but which ever tool you get, you'll be happy you have it. I also did not need the liver shrinking pre op diet (I put myself on one anyway) Just the clear liquids 48 hours prior to surgery and nothing 12 hrs prior to surgery

    Weight loss plateau

Liquid diet 2-3 days prior to seeing the surgeon (only protein shakes , coffee tea water ) like the one they will put you on just prior to surgery

    Almost a month

Perhaps the famous reset people try Although it's so soon not sure it will make a difference that wouldn't have happened already. But I too wonder how the sweet tooth will be cured by this... OP what is your meals like during the course of a day?

    Sleep Study?

Curious that you did not need a sleep study for sleeve surgery... It's just a precaution to make sure you can breathe while under general anesthesia if you have sleep apnea

I don't wash my hair daily either but that may be because my hair type does not require it. But we are messy bun twins [emoji7]

  19. 5 months post sleeve B: coffee with premier caramel shake then Greek yogurt Coffee Tea Water L: random lately (turkey, chicken, fish or lamb with veggies) or beans Coffee Tea Water S: Peanuts, Chocolate chips and raisins Coffee Tea Water D: random lately ( mostly beans , yogurt or re run from lunch ) Protein goals 60 g daily Though not focusing on it the past 3 weeks trying to head back towards vegan lifestyle Funny story I was on vacation and I tried authentic panna cotta (spelling ?) and had my first true dumping syndrome experience (without the release) So I'm hold up in this gorgeous Parisian bathroom looking at the frescos on the ceilings while sitting in the floor I thought I was dying but I appreciated the view Lesson learned I will never forget my new limits
