    Follow Up

That is always a possibility But if you have uncomplicated surgery you only see them every couple of months for lab work, which can easily be ordered by your primary or a hematologist . I thought I would see my team ALL the time and I just don't , there isn't a need. You may want to consider going to your local Bariatrics seminars and support groups as those are almost always free and helpful HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

    NYS MEDICAID (Fidelis)

I don't remember that being a requirement of insurance but definitely a requirement of my surgeon.
  5. Hmmm now I wonder what my goal/maintenance weight actually is? HW 270 SW 238 CW 182 VSG 11/7 [emoji146][emoji146][emoji146]

    Follow Up

In the state I have to follow up with both on a regular basis. Usually your primary has to be on board and sign off in order for surgery to happen. I hear alot of follow up for medical tourism is done electronically then mostly handled by your primary. So it would still be a good idea to let them know on advance What do you mean trouble being accepted? Insurance or socially?

Is everyone losing weight but me?

I get hormonal acne every month along with no loss, it happens . We can sit in the back of the class together and pass notes.

  9. When i was in my twenties i had a friend have the procedure abd insisted that we stop for pizza on the way home from the hospital she was alert in minimal pain and most importantly upset when i objected to her request. She got her pizza in the end. When i had VSG my hospital roommate had the procedure and was up walking within the hour like it was nothing, she even felt sorry for me and wished me a speedy recovery as she glided home the next morning. It may not be that bad.

    Dining with Friends

Apparently all of my friends and acquaintances are SUPER nosy and ive become a mystery they need to solve. Sometimes i think i should have just made a wls instagram profile so i would not have to answer questions over and over again. I dont quite have the energy for it, coupled with other medical concerns i just wanted a little peace on this journey... But nope either way my eating habits are the subject of much discussion

    Ladies, TMI question

If you are still on your cycle come surgery you maybe able to use a menstrual cup (google divacup). Ask your team ahead of time just in case. When i got wind that my period would occur during surgery i requested to be rescheduled, there was no way i was dealing with that , turned out to be a good decision
  16. Protein and vitamins usually boil to quality and tolerance. I LIke RTD protein like premier and EAS mainly because i can still stomach them Many people only use bariatric vitamins and thats worth looking into, i use sams club or equate brands that boasts of being compared national brands because they cost less Safe journey!
