Kids are teens and I was vegan then vegetarian then flexible, I think they welcomed the break lol, we should meet up !!! (For some reason I can't tag anyone )

I tried forced malabsorption and payed the price... Was on the toilet for hours... I ate cake, pie, pastry for my birthday week and justified it by having salad and naked burgers as the other meals I can't stand plain water even though I push for everyone else to drink it My children are vegan by their fathers' request but I gave them chicken because I was eating some and they were more than happy to have it

And on the end of you really can't afford the 13k in the states... Medical tourism

Meal planning will help save on food pre and post op, cooking your own food and freezing instead of wasting will save big time, only drinking filtered water- huge decrease in expenses especially if you pay a deposit fee per bottle/can, less money spent in excess on other self care things such as new hair styles, mani pedi etc all in an effort to mask the one thing you can't change- your weight, less money spent on cold allergy meds because you just won't get that sick as often when you are not straining your immune system, less money spent on indoor activities because you would rather walk hike bike etc, less money spent on alcohol just won't need as much , Less money spent on petro as you may walk more often... It will add up eventually

Backtrack a bit and finely chop your foods , very small, them chew very well. Make everything super moist (with broth or dressings) , if cheese hurts also go back to yogurt, cottage cheese etc. Don't rush especially if it hurts and as always, let your team know of any changes

Maybe they just want a little more attention, things to be about them for a change. Maybe not. I have been very careful to remember that I'm not the center of the universe just because I'm : sick, pre op ,post op, x,y z ... You name it. It can be tiring Carrying the torch, armour, bags, luggage etc without recognition help or at least a break and during these journeys we can get self indulgent to the max sometimes for the first times in our lives but other people still exist too. Sorry just seeing this, I had VSG so different game entirely. Everything had to be sugar free, early on. The protein supplements had to have 3 grams or less of sugar, fat, 150 cals or less and at least 15 grams of protein. That's a very narrow window. That was during the full liquid diet ,stage 1. Each following stage built on this in a little until I was eating only solids. But I'm still sugar free. I use stevia, occasionally splenda ,naturally occurring sugars in fruits (this is still not an ever day thing) and very rarely vacation and special occasion food (pastry, birthday cake or I'm my case birthday pancakes lol) I avoid sugar like its the plague and when I checked my logged foods today I consumed 20 grams, this includes lovely problematic watermelon...
