    Intermittent Fasting

So I'm still going strong with Intermittent fasting, i drink a lot more fluids these days and weight loss has picked up again. I think this can be a better reset option (along with cleaned up diet) for people stuck instead of going back to the liquid diet. Both will be challenging to someone not ready to change but this does not involve such a major change.
  5. She may never be on board, be prepared for that. However you are not a ward of the "state", or a minor requiring consent from a "parent", if she can still love love and stand by you and allow you to make personal decisions, that's a good place to be in

  9. Any changes? Up or down? Eating anything different this week? I'm interested in your progress...
  10. I hate filters, even professionally (photography) I refuse to filter the face to the point where the client looks too different. IDC people should look like the most accurate representation of their selves as possible when being recorded, and makeup... That's another story, man...

    Calorie intake

Double check what your program states but mine counted all fluids towards your hydration goal , water was superior of course because its essential and your body will not have to work to extract it from other things if its readily available, so that's a reason to make sure that most of what you are drinking is water but you can throw some broth, tea, etc in the mix too.

    Calorie intake

People who stick as close to their plans as possible will lose weight. Calorie count can be deceptive without background information like what type of foods are being consumed (but that's a whole different debate for a different time) Are you trying to drink pure water only? All fluids consumed count towards your hydration goal. This includes pure water, milk , broth, protein shakes, teas, coffee, crystal light ,vitamin water zero, powerade zero, gatorade and even sugar free popsicles...

    Best shake???

Only buy a few at a time (this also gives you an excuse to walk in Walmart or wherever post op) your taste and tolerances may change then you're stuck with stuff. I still have 12 bottles of premier clear protein from 9 months ago I can't tolerate...

Doing my MGB in 6 days...need help.

You may become more of a foodie with a refined palate and selective taste, finding clever to foods you once ate because every bite counts more. And that's not a bad thing. Most diabetics work closely with their NUT, Surgery and PCP to make sure everything is handled properly so there is no guess work. There are tons of posts about it give the site a search. Stall right out of the gate?

You can try to stop weighing yourself for a while. You don't *have* to especially if its stressful. You *have* to measure fluids, foods, take vitamins, etc. (Weighing is optional and not always an accurate representation of the changes occurring)

    OMG I ate too much

Ok so now I measured 3/4 cup of yogurt out and could not eat it all. But THIS time I did not even try. Restriction is back at full capacity y'all. No sliders...

    OMG I ate too much

Let me preface this by saying I'm 9 months post op and I know when to stop eating. I don't have a "tell" so I just had to learn by measurements. I started experimenting with intermittent fasting about a week ago, from 8 or 9pm to morning just water if needed. Morning to 1pm tea, or coffee with a little protein shake in it. Then food and fluids in between. Then back to the fasting. Apparently this has restarted my weight loss (stalled for 1month) and I just found out it reset my full point and which foods "slide". 1 cup of Greek yogurt (22 g protein) was a prior slider and now I'm in pain 3/4 the way through. I can't believe it. Yogurt prompts restriction again... FML. I need to lay down. On the floor.
