Family Intervention to Stop VSG process
GreenTealael replied to TropicalBeachDoll's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's sounds so hard glad you handled it well. -
Slightly on topic slightly off topic: Yesterday I used lower quality coffee to make espresso by accident (it may have been decaf but not the point) and I threw it away immediately. If I'm going to risk ruin, its going to be worth it. I'm made a fresh cup with the good stuff.

What are you able to do physically first two weeks post op?
GreenTealael replied to Ebegebe's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Walk bent over and cry. Joking , a little. I was a slow recoverer (not healer) I did everything for myself but was I was in no way at the top of my game biking, hiking, sexing etc. I was able to get out of bed alone, use the bathroom, clean my jp drain , shower slowly, boil water for tea, wash three dishes, mix protein powders, give up bone broth, cry, reread Ender's Game, sit upright on the couch, walk around the house aimlessly, vacuum, tiddy the bookshelves / medicine cabinet but if something fell, it stayed there... BTW I was sleeved (for some reason I can't see which forums I'm participating in until I leave them...sorry) -

I received 3 notifications in the last hour, if I lose my rewards points I may throw a tantrum. -
Although the culprit maybe low blood pressure (it is for me) don't forget to stay hydrated adequately as some common post surgical complications are usually dehydration related. Also hold on to something when you get up, don't fall! CONGRATS!!!!

How did you decide plastics was right for you?
GreenTealael replied to LaLaDee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
@sillykitty Yeah...my family hasn't had a say in my life decisions in decades... Sometimes i brief them sometimes i dont. But that may be individual, cultural and generational. -

When did you start counting carbs and exercising
GreenTealael replied to Jpsl1028's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I suggest reading every food label. If you are not making it from scratch it will have unexpected macros. Those carbs/sugars can add up quickly and you want to know if they are naturally occurring, added, sugar alcohol, fiber or net count. Safe Journey -
How did you decide plastics was right for you?
GreenTealael replied to LaLaDee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
For me, I've lived with the same set of issues for a while having children, I don't look bad but its not ideal. I was talking with my niece a few weeks ago, and we were comparing body stories (we are similar in age and now in body type and life experience) and she wants plastics too. We discussed breast lifts/augmentation, lipo of back/stomach, BBL, TT, arm lifts and thigh lifts. She was only concerned about the scaring on the arms. We both want only one surgery and decided to seriously start looking into it when we hit our lowest weights highest funds. I'm thinking Mexico. So I a lot of people are thinking about it (who have not even had WLS) and for us the deciding factor is how what we can safely get done for the best price in one surgery. -
You look fantastic. LOVE the dress on you! thanks!!!!

That's hard to predict can you have the store order/bring in a procession of sizes down in the same dress so that you can estimate? Bridesmaids dresses are not usually super custom so it shouldn't cost a fortune if requested ahead of time...

You can start by meticulously tracking your food/water intake (if not already) this will help you to: not gain any weight, maybe lose some weight and set you up for great habits after surgery! You're on your way!!!

Dealing with those not supportive
GreenTealael replied to pugmom234's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, do you *have* to tell them this time? You can be as selective as you want or as open as you like but you don't require anyone's consent Be fiercely protective of your right to peace, privacy and autonomy on journey. -
