When my dietary plan stage reached "health eating for life" I took it seriously and began to add everything back in that would stay there permanently, and excluding the things that would stay out permanently I figured I'd lose what I lose, take or leave it, not working out in excess because its not sustainable for me and what if I break my ankle and cannot exercise any more , regaining the 50lbs I would have never lost if I had not been in the gym 3 hrs/ 6 days a week? Nope can't live that life, I'm underachieving all the way. I will step up the exercise incrementally over the years, working on the weight loss in the kitchen I guess.

    Same thing happened to me when I gave up drinking a 2-3 years ago when I started to get serious about weight loss, then I had to step up my personality to compensate for what people expected from the drinker me It was exhausting don't let them pressure you... Oh yeah, I gave those friends up too lol

    I usually start eating at 1pm stop at 8 or 9pm. I'm still following the 30/30/30 bariatric rules also so I'm really only eating in a 4hour window. Other than that hydration from mostly tea & water oh and one coffee w/premier Its actually not hard because I'm so focused on hydration until meal times. It has its benefits. I can't say I'm not getting my fluids in.

    Make sure its on plan for you first (the worry is the formation of a dough ball obstruction when bread and pasta is introduced too early/slowed weightloss from high carbs) if not, no big deal check if they have alternatives like spiralized vegetables etc. Stay close to plan above all for optimal success And remember youre really there to hang out with your family But you totally got this!!! Enjoy tonight !!! you have an entire life of incredible moments coming up

    Yes totally been there... But what makes you think you can't have what you want? Everyone is eating bread sticks, use that time to hydrate a bit then start your 30 min countdown to food You what chicken parm? Order it with modifications (unbreaded light sauce ricotta cheese shaved parm cheese vegetables on the side) What lasagna? Order it made with just layers of meat, ricotta,spinach. Seafood. Perfect. Hold the pasta add the vegetables. Desert? you'll be too full anyways, but if not don't order your own , slightly taste someone else's (only if its not a trigger) Special occasions, not everyday binges. Log everything stay accountable. Stay on track. Challenge the chef to do his/her best gluten free work. Tell him/her your story This is your life now fight for it
  12. But questions I have (i guess for a NUT/RD) is won't waiting to add those thing later cause the rebound weight gain everyone fears? But if you add it now , you would have never lost that extra weight from withholding it and causing the added psychological damage as well? Am I reaching?

Ok so I have a real question for all of my fellow cheaters: Say you knew before surgery that you were probably never going to be an exercise fanatic Running/biking/hiking on the weekends or never giving up chocolate/alcohol/donuts... Whatever Is it then a cheat or is it just your lifestyle and you lose what you lose taking into account your lifestyle?

    It may just be your perception is offyou too close to the situation and can't see he change. I thought the samething until I saw two photos of myself wearing the same clothes taken 3 months & about 20lbs apart, the camera does not lie

    I had to food cycle early on, I could not eat things for more than a few days without becoming intolerant for no reason at all so my NUT suggested cycling different things in and out. It worked well for me. Also have you tried ginger tea, or crystallized ginger root to chew on @J_Mkay ? Sometimes traditional medicine is equally as powerful, but as always run it by your team first
