Recommended Videos to Keep Your Mind Off Food

I just went I see Searching staring John Cho and Debra Messing (unexpectedly great movie) with my sister as an early birthday celebration for her. She had froyo and I had iced coffee, I don't think there were any eating scenes in the movie. She and I both commented on how absolutely intoxicating the popcorn smelled, neither one of us was hungry, which further convinces me they are adding addictive chemicals to the mix...
  2. On board! For anyone interested the link below is what piqued my interest https://youtu.be/tIuj-oMN-Fk Then I started considering the benefits of a hydration focused lifestyle on fat loss because of the link below https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4901052/ I prepped by using a water reminder Ive done 20:4(strict) 18:6 &16:8(modified) fasting, I also have a 24hr true fast coming up. I will update my progress here regularly

    Intermittent Fasting

I think if you start it, it'll reach more people, you have more friends and I stripped my profile back to basics (long story) I'm happy to simply participate. I can start measurements more regularly. I have no clue what to call the thread lol

    Intermittent Fasting

Thats exciting!!! Sure show me the thread and I'll totally participate, but people may get tired of seeing tea cups hahaha I will be more specific with everything I consumed and try to give amounts, but weight loss tracking is beyond my control. I only weigh at doctor's appointments (don't own a scale) and I don't have one until end of September (I had a ton during the summer) will my info still help?

    Intermittent Fasting

Oh I understand, I'm 10 months post op, my hunger returned long ago, just not to the level of days past. My calories are at Max and have been since early on. Not sure which habits you are referring to however.

TIPS to get back on track!

I don't know if this helps but while on vacation I eat vacation foods ... things I truly cannot get at home because there is no comparison so when I return there is no possibility of eating it. I also try to drink more often when I think I'm hungry instead of eating.

    Intermittent Fasting

You're the second person that mentioned stretching out my sleeve. Are you pre-op? I'm not hungry like before surgery and I'm still on a 30/30/30 schedule even within the non fasting hours. I get plenty of fats,I still eat oils and nuts (in lower amounts now) But it's not a possibility for me anyway, I'm not frenzied during eating hours. If anything hunger is reduced and I eat more mindfully.

    Intermittent Fasting

When I began I was curious if it could reduce/erase my hunger sensation as I think I trained myself to eat more than necessary (my NUT also asked me to lower my cals to continue weight loss) But weight loss is peripheral to me in this. I was really interested in all of the benefits that comes with focusing on hydration. I didn't realize that inflammation reduction, and all the other health benefits were possible.

    Intermittent Fasting

Resumed 16:8 protocol for eventful weekend, will resume 20:4 protocol when I return home (and occasionally) then dio down to 16:8 and I will likely stick to a 16:8 protocol for a while, I although I enjoyed the 20:4 more

    SHOULD I DO IT?

For me, in the hospital getting the pain management set was a mess, it was my first full surgery, we could not anticipate that most common narcotics do not manage pain for me. I advocated for changes as needed. After this was fixed pain was better and true pain lasted 2 weeks then nothing
  15. I successfully mixed neuro water protein variety with true lemon water enhancer, not bad at all

    SHOULD I DO IT?

You are scheduled, you must want to do it. My experience will not be your's however it was a simple uncomplicated surgery and uneventful recovery, although I had more pain than many write about. Smooth sailing when it comes to the VSG portion of health journey, But other medical issues haven't completely resolved themselves and there's no promise all will. quality of physical life/limitations have been improved. I'm grateful I took the risk.

    The Case for More Water

I think I conditioned myself into not being a thirsty persons, lol, because I didn't want to be the co worker to use the bathroom constantly at a previous job, always needing coverage at crucial times.

    The Case for More Water

I say this alot on the confession threads, I can't tolerate poor quality water. It has to be specific type in order for me to handle it. You may need to find your range/type also.

    The Case for More Water

Nice, Does tea loading count? Lol I can never drink just one cup at a time But honestly intermittent fasting has really helped me to be super mindful of water/fluid intake again, I was getting the minimum always but I knew I could do better
  20. Hard boiled eggs, yogurts, fruits and veggies So easy and portable I like seaweed snacks for salty snacks to replace chips

    The Case for More Water

No but I didn't read all of the primary sources this study was built around, the ones involving humans surely have that data

    I can’t date overweight people

I could have written this same rant about anything that doesn't live up to my expectations, lol I think being specific/selective is a part of self care especially if you know it will derail you to be around bad habits ... I'm just happy this post wasn't as shallow as I thought it was going to be.
